Tuesday A Balearic Shearwater flew past Peninnis Head and a Cory’s Shearwater was seen from the Scillonian III on the return trip to Penzance. Sunday 16th – Monday 17th August 2020 – IoS Bird Sightings

Sunday 6 Whimbrel & 9 Greenshank were in Porth Hellick Bay and a Green Sandpiper flew over the airfield. Friday A Great Northern Diver was off St. Agnes and a Lapwing, a Common Sandpiper, 2 Green Sandpiper, 10 Greenshank & a Cetti’s Warbler were at Porth Hellick. Monday 27th – Wednesday 29th July 2020 – IoS Bird Sightings

Monday A magical evening pelagic trip 6 miles south of St. Mary’s produced 3 Yellow-legged Gull, 3 Great Shearwater, 2 Sooty Shearwater, 4 Wilson’s Storm Petrel and about 150 European Storm-petrel, Both of the petrels gave such close views they were breaking the current social-distancing rules! Tuesday 21st – Sunday 26th July 2020 – IoS Bird Sightings

Tuesday 14th – Monday 20th July 2020 – IoS Bird Sightings

Tuesday A Green Sandpiper and a Cetti’s Warbler were at Shooters’ Pool Wednesday 12 Sandwich Tern, 3 Mediterranean Gull ,7 Black-headed Gull and a Common Sandpiper were at Porthcressa. 5 Crossbill were at Longstone and flew off towards Sandy Lane.
