St. Mary’s– Common Swift over Higher Moors today. Elsewhere, White Wagtail at Porthloo and Green Sandpiper at Porth Hellick Tresco – Grey Heron (10) still on island. Also Common Swift (2)
A Lesser Redpoll over Longstone, St Mary’s and 12 Turnstone on St. Agnes were the only birds of note on the islands today
Tresco – Tufted Duck (2) and Swift (2). Herons continue to increase with ten each of Grey Herons and Little Egrets on Tresco. St. Mary’s – Common Swift over Peninnis.
Scilly Pelagics – Birds seen from this evenings pelagic 6 miles south of St Mary’s included: Sabine’s Gull (2), Balearic Shearwater, Manx Shearwater (5), Bonxie (2) and Storm Petrel (50+).
Only birds of note today were a Whimbrel at Hugh Town Quay and two Tufted Ducks on Tresco.
St Mary’s – Common Crossbills again today at Longstone (50+) and Trenoweth (10).
