Wednesday The Spotted Sandpiper, a Greenshank, 2 Sparrowhawk & a Kingfisher were at Porth Hellick and 12 Mediterranean Gull & 5 White Wagtail were at Porth Cressa. A Pied Flycatcher was in a Garden at Holy Vale, a Redstart was on the Dead Pine Walk on the Garrison, where a Tree Pipit flew over, a Turtle Dove was at Carn Friars and the Wryneck was seen again at Porth Minnick. Monday 14th – Tuesday 15th September 2020 – IoS Bird Sightings

Monday The Dotterel was still on the airfield and the Spotted Sandpiper & 6 Greenshank were at Porth Hellick, a Black-tailed Godwit was on Porthloo Beach and a Spotted Redshank (a Scilly scarcity) flew over Lower Moors towards the airfield. Saturday 12th – Sunday 13th September – IoS Bird Sightings

Saturday The Dotterel was still on the airfield and the Spotted Sandpiper, 8 Greenshank & a Grey Wagtail were at Porth Hellick. 20 Brent Geese flew over Hugh Town & 7 flew out to sea from the Garrison. Thursday 10th – Friday 11th September 2020 – IoS Bird Sightings

Thursday The Spotted Sandpiper on Porth Hellick Beach was joined by a Pectoral Sandpiper in the evening, also on the beach were 15 Ringed Plover and 2 Dunlin.  A Melodious Warbler was at Longstone, a Swift was over Lower Moors, a Spotted Flycatcher was on the Garrison, 3 Grey Wagtail & 4 Siskin flew over the Garrison and another Siskin was at the desalination plant at Deep Point. Tuesday The Spotted Sandpiper, 2 Greenshank & a Yellow Wagtail were at Porth Hellick, a Swift was over Higher Moors, a Whinchat was on the airfield and a possible Ortolan Bunting was briefly in a garden on High Lanes, where there was also a Grey Wagtail with in Lower Moors.
