Friday 10th

St. Mary’s – The Blue-winged Teal was still on Shooters’ Pool and a second-winter Iceland Gull was at Porth Mellon.

Saturday 11th

St. Mary’s – The Blue-winged Teal & a Jack Snipe were in Lower Moors and a second-winter Iceland Gull was at Porth Mellon. The Dusky Warbler was again at Harry’s Walls and a Firecrest was in a garden on High Lanes. 2 Long-eared Owls and a Kingfisher were at Porth Hellick. (more…)

St. Mary’s – The Blue-winged Teal, the Jack Snipe, a Firecrest and a Kingfisher were all in Lower Moors. A Black Redstart was on Old Town Beach, a first-winter drake Eider was in Town Bay, a juvenile Iceland Gull was at Porth Mellon and 2 Firecrests were at Porth Hellick. Read more…

St. Mary’s – The Blue-winged Teal was still on Shooter’s Pool, a Jack Snipe was showing on the main pool in Lower Moors and a Black Redstart was on Old Town Beach

St. Mary’s – In Lower Moors the Blue-winged Teal was still on Shooters’ Pool and a Jack Snipe was on the main pool. 3 Slavonian Grebes, a Black-throated & 6 Great Northern divers were seen from Innisidgen and a Great Spotted Woodpecker was on Kittydown

St. Mary’s – The Blue-winged Teal was still in Lower Moors, where there was an noticeable influx of Snipe, with 9 Common Snipe and 2 Jack Snipe. A Firecrest was at Higher Moors and another was at Garn Gwaval.

St. Mary’s – In Lower Moors the Northern Waterthrush again showed briefly near the “tin hut”, the Blue-winged Teal was on Shooters’ Pool and nearby there was a Firecrest. The 4 Iceland Gulls were still in the Porthloo/Porth Mellon/ dump area and the Dusky Warbler was again on Harry’s Walls.

St. Mary’s – The Northern Waterthrush was seen again in Lower Moors near the “tin hut”, the Blue-winged Teal was on Shooters’ Pool and the Jack snipe was showing from the ISBG hide. At least 4 Iceland Gulls were still commuting between Porth Mellon and the dump. A Great Spotted Read more…
