St Mary’s – Common Crossbill (8) at Longstones this morning.
St Mary’s – Greenshank (3) at Porth Hellick Pool this evening (Thanks R.Mawer) Scilly Pelagic – Species seen from this evenings Pelagic included: *WILSON’S STORM PETREL* (the first of the year), 35 European Storm-Petrels, 20 Manx Shearwaters and 2 Great Skuas.
Still quiet on the islands, Monday’s birds were: Tresco – Redshank (4), Greenshank, Pintail, Swift (2) and Grey Heron (14) St.Mary’s – Water Rail at Porth Hellick.

St. Mary’s – Green Sandpiper still at Porth Hellick and Cuckoo (juvenile) at Deep Point. Tresco – Bar-tailed Godwit reported today Near Samson– Whimbrel (2) and Sandwich Tern. Teän – Whimbrel (25), Peregrine and Marsh Harrier.
No news from the islands themselves but this evenings pelagic 6 miles south of St. Mary’s produced the second record in British waters of SCOPOLI’S SHEARWATER. Scopoli’s Shearwater is the Mediterranean subspecies of Cory’s Shearwater and is a candidate for future splitting. The first record was also in Scillonian waters Read more…
Very few reports today with just a Green Sandpiper at Porth Hellick Pool, St Mary’s and Common Swift over Bryher.
St. Mary’s – Mistle Thrush still on the Golf Course today. Green sandpiper at Porth Hellick Pool St. Martin’s – Lapwing, Cuckoo, Peregrine, Kestrel and Swift (3) reported from the island today Annet – Manx Shearwaters (210) and a Turnstone
