St Mary’s – Mistle Thrush(3), Wigeon (2), Teal (6), Curlew (9), Lapwing (7), Greenshank (4), Redshank and Snipe (4) in Porth Hellick/Higher Moors area this afternoon. Long-Eared Owl (2) still in the Salakee/Poth Hellick area.
Tresco – 3 Pink-footed Geese between the heliport and Simpson’s Field.
Tresco – 3 Pink-footed Geese & 5 Long-tailed Tits on Tresco.
Sunday – A Great Spotted Woodpecker near Newford Duck Pond, St . Mary’s. Monday – A Spoonbill and first-winter drake Eider near Samson.
St. Mary’s – A Mistle Thrush in fields above Holy Vale, a drake Pintail and a pair of Wigeon on Porth Hellick Pool and 25+ Chiffchaffs at Porthloo. Samson – 2 Spoonbills
St. Mary’s – 3 Slavonian Grebes and 4 Great Northern Divers on the sea off the Garrison, viewed from Star Castle. Samson – 2 Spoonbills and a first winter drake Eider.
St. Mary’s – A Black Redstart at Little Porth and a Firecrest & Long-eared Owl at Porth Hellick. Samson – A Spoonbill, Eider and Red-breasted Merganser.
St. Mary’s – 2 Whimbrel at Pendrethen and 2 Long-eared Owls and a drake Pintail at Porth Hellick. Samson – A first-winter drake Eider and a Spoonbill.
