Rose-coloured Starling – An adult was in the Big Pool/church area, St. Agnes.
Nightjar – 1 was flushed from fields of Barnaby Lane, St. Agnes. This a very scarce bird on Scilly the last sighting was on St. Martin’s in May 2016.
Red Kite – Still a few lingering.
European Storm-petrel – 30+ on the first evening fishing/pelagic trip of the year.
Manx Shearwater – 130+ near Annet.
Balearic Shearwater – 1 near Annet.
Mediterranean Gull – 1 on the fishing/pelagic trip.
Common Swift – 2 over Longstone.
Blue Shark – 1 caught 1, tagged and released on the fishing/pelagic trip.

Red Kite – 4 over the Holy Vale/Maypole area
Bar-tailed Godwi0t – 1 Porth Coose, St. Agnes.
Hobby – 1 flew over Tregarthen’s Hotel.
Common Swift – 1 over Hugh town.
Cuckoo – 1 above Middle Town, St. Martin’s.
Rook – 2 at Helvear
Spotted Flycatcher – 2
Siskin – 1 in the pines above Carreg Dhu Gardens,
Saturday (03/06)
Golden Oriole – A male in the Elms by Longstone Farm which then flew into elms in Holy Vale.
Red Kite – Still reported in small numbers.
Bat-tailed Godwit – 1 on Porth Coose Beach, St. Agnes.
Mediterranean Gull – 1 on St. Agnes Pool.
Hobby – 1 flew over the Health Centre.
Cuckoo – 1 at Trenoweth.
Rooks – 2 roosted in the elms between Helvear and Green Farm.
Sunday (04/06)
Golden Oriole – Several reported today: 1 in the Dead Pine walk in the Garrison pine belt, 1 singing above Peacehaven, Watermill, a female type at Porth Hellick and a first-summer male in the pines at Carreg Dhu.
Red Kite – Still around with up to 7 reported together over Longstone.
Pochard – 6 on abbey Pool, Tresco.
Common Swift – 2 over Rocky Hill.
Monday (05/06)
Red Kite –Still reported in low numbers.
Common Swift – 4 in the High Lanes/Telegraph area.
Cetti’s Warbler – 1 singing in Lower Moors.
Tuesday (06/06)
Purple Heron – 1 dropped into Porth Hellick Pool (photo).
Golden Oriole – 1 singing in the elms near Lenteverne Cottage, Watermill Lane.
Red Kite – Still a few around.
Hobby – 1 on Tresco.
European Storm-Petrel – 45 on the evening pelagic trip 3 miles southwest of the Bishop Rock (photo).
Manx Shearwater – 200 near the Old Wreck Buoy and 100 on the evening pelagic trip 3 miles southwest of the Bishop Rock.
Mediterranean Gull – An Adult and a first-summer bird on Merrick Island.
Little Egret – 1 on Bryher Pool
Common Swift – 2 over Peninnis.
Pintail – A drake on Tresco.
Pochard – A pair with chicks on Tresco.
