Lesser Scaup – The first-winter bird was still on the Great Pool, Tresco.
Hoopoe – 1 at Great Par, Bryher.
Richard’s Pipit – 1 in the fields north of the bakery on St. Martin’s.
Wryneck – 1 between the south end of Popplestone Bay and the Great Pool, Bryher (photo).
Little Bunting – 1 still in the bottom field on the Sunnyside Farm Trail.
Hawfinch – 1 still in the bushes at Content Farm.
Red-breasted Flycatcher – 1 still in the glade next to Rosemary Cottage, Sandy Lane, 1 Content Lane and 1 at the start of Holy Vale Trail.
Spoonbill – 5 on Green Island. Samson (photo).
Snow Bunting – 4 at Deep Point, 1 flew over Popplestone, Bryher, 1 on the north end of Tresco and 1 on White Island, St. Martin’s.
Quail – 1 in a field west of Tremelethen Farm.
Spotted Redshank – 1 still on the Great Pool, Tresco.
Red-breasted Merganser – 1 in Pentle Bay, Tresco.
Purple Sandpiper – 4 on Green Island. Samson (photo).
Turtle Dove – 1 flew over Porth Cressa.
Yellow-browed Warbler – 1 calling at Watermill, 1 Porth Hellick Loop, 1 Shooter’s Pool, Lower Moors. 1 in the bushes at Trench Lane Carpark 1 at Popplestone, Bryher and 1 in the pines by Gimble Porth, Tresco.
Siberian Chiffchaff – 3 Shooter’s Pool, Lower Moors and 1 in the bushes at Trench Lane Carpark.
Great Northern Diver – 5 off Watermill.
Whooper Swan – 6 still on the Great Pool, Tresco.
Pink-footed Goose – 2 on the Great Pool, Tresco.
Shelduck – 11 on Samson.
Shoveler – 2 on the Great Pool, Tresco.
Pochard – 2 on the Great Pool, Tresco.
Eider – 1 off Skirt Island/Pentle Bay, Tresco.
Lapwing – 1 at Higher Town, St. Martin’s.
Woodcock – 1 near Shooter’s Pool, Lower Moors.
Ring Ouzel – 1 on the coastal path between Watermill and Innisidgen, 1 in a field on Sunnyside Farm Trail, 1 on the north end of Tresco and 1 on west side of Gweal Hill, Bryher.
Redwing – Still around in 100’s.
Fieldfare – 1 flew over Popplestone, Bryher.
Black Redstart – 3 Parting Carn, 1 on the north end of Tresco, 2 on St. Martin’s and 4 on St. Agnes.
Spotted Flycatcher – 1 St. Martin’s
White Wagtail – 1 on South Beach, Tresco.
Grey Wagtail – 2 at Longstone around the farm buildings.
Brambling – Still around in small numbers.
Siskin – Again numbers have dropped after the recent influx but still flocks of 20 to 50 around.
