Snow Goose – A white morph of unknown origin flew over St. Agnes Pool, was the first record for Scilly (photo)
Bee-eater – 1 high over Porth Hellick, also heard in the golf course/telegraph tower area and over New Grimsby, Tresco, later back at its usual haunt in the Normandy/Carn Friars area
Woodchat Shrike– 1 still at Dolphin Town, Tresco
Little Bunting – 2 still on St. Agnes, together at Troy Town Farm (photo)
Cattle Egret – 4 at Dolphin Town, Tresco
Hoopoe – 1 near Longstone Café flew towards Porth Hellick House
Golden Oriole – 1 at the north end of the Dead Pine Walk on the Garrison and later near the pottery
Blue-headed Wagtail – 6 in a field south of New Grimsby, 1 Lower Moors
Bullfinch – A splendid male was in the garden of St. Agnes Post Office, this is a very scarce bird on Scilly
Greylag Goose – 1 still in a field on Peninnis
Common Scoter – A female off the Old Blockhouse, Tresco
Turtle Dove – 2 in the garden behind Star Castle
Swift – 1 over the Garrison
Cuckoo – 1 Carreg Dhu
Black-throated Diver – 1 off Peninnis Head
Great Northern Diver – 1 Pentle Bay, Tresco, 1 Lawrance’s Bay, St. Martin’s, 2 summer plumaged birds in St. Mary’s Sound
Marsh Harrier – 1 over the Great Pool, Tresco
Whimbrel – 13 Bar Point, 1 Porth Hellick Beach, 1 old Town Bay, 3 Porthloo, 1 Porth Cressa, 26 St. Martin’s, 13 St. Agnes
Bar-tailed Godwit – 1 Porth Hellick Beach
Common Sandpiper – 1 at Lawrance’s Bay, St. Martin’s, 1 Bar Point, 1 Porth Hellick Beach
Iceland Gull – 1 Porthloo. 1 St. Martin’s
Hobby – 1 flew from Buzza towards the Garrison playing field
Lesser Whitethroat – 1 at Maypole was the first of the year

Whinchat – 1 on Peninnis
Black Redstart – 1 Porthloo
Yellow Wagtail – 12 in a field south of New Grimsby
Tree Pipit – 2 Porth Hellick, 1 Bar Point, 2 at Maypole, 14 in a field on the northeast side of the Great Pool, Tresco, 6 flyovers elsewhere on Tresco
