Greylag Goose – 2 flew over Longstone at dawn, then in a grassy field opposite Sunnyside Farm then roosting on Porth Hellick Pool
Pink-footed Goose – 1 flew over Longstone at dawn, 4 at Porth Hellick also 4 on Tresco it as not been ascertained whether these are the same birds.
Brent Goose – 10 Green Island, Samson, 1 St. Martin’s
Long-tailed Duck – 1 flew east past Carn Near, Tresco
Whimbrel – 2 on Toll’s Island in Pelistry Bay
Jack Snipe – 1 from the boardwalk to the Stephen Sussex Hide
Golden Plover – 1 on the airfield
Dotterel – 1 flew over Longstone and later was on the airfield
Mediterranean Gull – 10 in Porthcressa Bay
Sandwich Tern – 4 in Porthcressa Bay
Glaucous Gull – 1 near Samson and later flew over Hugh Town Harbour towards Porthloo
Spoonbill – 1 Tresco
Little Egret – 5 Plumb Island, Tresco
Corncrake – 1 Tresco
Merlin – 1 Trewince
Sparrowhawk – 1 Bryher
Kingfisher – 1 Lower Broome, 1 flew across Porth Hellick Bay
Great Spotted Woodpecker – 1 still on Tresco
Wryneck – 1 Peninnis, 1 on the Garrison, 1 on the path below the windsock on the airfield, 1 Borough Farm, St. Mary’s, 1 St. Martin’s, 1 Bryher, 1 Tresco, 1 St. Agnes
Turtle Dove – 1 still Bay View Terrace Fields
Raven – 2 flew over the Golf Course
Yellow Wagtail – 2 on the airfield, 2 Trewince, 2 Garrison, 4 over the Standing Stones Field, Lower Moors, 2 Salakee Farm, 4 St. Agnes
Skylark – 1 on the airfield, 1 Longstone, 1 Woolpack Battery
Cetti’s Warbler – 2 singing at Porth Hellick
Grasshopper Warbler – 1 near Carreg Dhu, 1 St. Martin’s
Lesser Whitethroat – 1 Porth Hellick

Common Rosefinch – 1 in the overgrown quarry north of Woolpack Battery, Garrison, 1 flew over Longstone, 1 calling over Parting Carn
Lapland Bunting – 1 near the lighthouse on Peninnis, 1 St. Agnes
Little/Rustic Bunting – A bird thought to be one of these two species was heard calling near the vets in Old Town but was almost totally obscured
