The Blue Rock Thrush continued to play hide and seek and was seen briefly on the west side of Peninnis at 09:00.
A probable American Herring Gull (first seen on the airfield on Thursday evening) was seen on the roof of the Municipal dump building mid-morning and again on the Golf Course in the evening, before flying off towards Tresco.
A possible Green-winged Teal on Newford Duck Pond had probably been present since last week.
2 Pink-footed Geese flew around St. Mary’s before settling in a field at Mount Todden & another was on the Abbey Pool, Tresco, 6 Spoonbill (the largest count since 1940) were on Green Island Samson, Little Egrets seemed to be back with 3 in Old Town Bay, 2 on Tresco & 1 on Teän, a Grey Phalarope was seen from the Scillonian III, 11 Mediterranean Gulls were at Porthcressa & 1 was on Tresco, a Turtle Dove was in Lower Moors, a Wryneck was on the eastern side of Peninnis south of Old Town Church, the Red-backed Shrike, the Melodious Warbler & a Garden Warbler were seen again in the field next to Old Town Churchyard, the Short-toed Lark & the Ortolan Bunting were still on Tresco Heliport, 7 Yellow-browed Warblers were on St. Mary’s and 1 was on Tresco, there were 10 Firecrest on St. Mary’s and 1 on St. Martin’s, single Pied Flycatchers were on the Garrison, in Jac-a ba, in Old Town Churchyard, at Watermill & on St. Martin’s, a Common Redstart was on Carn Friars Farm, 11 Whinchats were on St. Mary’s & 1 was on Tresco, there were 22 Wheatears St. Mary’s & 1 on Tresco, a Yellow Wagtail was at the Riding Stables and a Lapland Bunting was on the airfield.
