Thursdays Birds were: A Wood Sandpiper flew over Peninnis Head and two Wheatears were at Giants Castle. Nine Greenshank and a Green Sandpiper were at Porth Helick and a Whimbrel was seen to fly to Bar Point.
Fridays Birds were: A short seawatch from Giants Castle produced 12 Manx Shearwaters, 4 Fulmar, 6 Gannets and an Ocean Sunfish. A ‘comic’ Tern was at Little Porth along with 5 Curlew, a Whimbrel, 9 Gannets and 3 Sandwich Terns. A juv Med Gull was at Porthloo and a Ruff was at Porth Hellick.
Saturdays Birds were: A Black-tailed Godwit flew over the harbour and the Riff and a Common Sandpiper were at Porth Hellick
Sundays Birds were: A Reed Warbler was at Sallyport and three Wheatears were at Giant’s Castle. Two Wilson’s and over 100 European Storm Petrels, Great Shearwater, 2 Balearic Shearwaters, 24 Sooty Shearwaters and over 1000 Manxies were seen from the pelagic 6 miles south of the islands. Seven Dunlin and 2 Ringed Plover were on the Great Pool, Bryher and 5 Wheatear were n the airfield. A Grey Phalarope was reported from St Martins.
Mondays Birds were: Fifteen Willow Warblers, single Sedge and 3 Reed Warblers and a Pied Flycatcher were ringed at Porth Hellick. 2 Swift and a Reed warbler were also at Porth Hellick. The Reed Warbler at Sallyport was joined by a Garden Warbler. 10 Wheatears were at Giants Castle with another four on the airfield. Single Wilson’s Petrel was the highlight on the evening pelagic.
Tuesdays Birds were: Bryher held 4 Dunlin, 3 Ringed Plover a Crossbill and a Turtle Dove. 5 Whimbrel were on St Martins and another was at Porthloo. Two Wilson’s Petrels were seen on the evening Pelagic.
Wednesdays Birds were: A Serin was seen over Porth Hellick flying towards Salakee. The Ruff remained at Porth Hellick
