Thursday’s birds were:
St. Mary’s – The Little Bittern was still on Lower Moors Pool early morning and the Night Heron was seen on Shooters’ Pool at 07:15 and on the main pool in the evening before flying towards the Dump Clump. The Western Bonelli’s Warbler was in a hedge in the field opposite Nowhere cottage. A Richard’s Pipit was seen in the morning in a field near the Health Centre before flying towards Peninnis Head, it was the seen in the afternoon at Bant’s Carn and then flew towards the Golf Course. 2 Dotterels and a summer-plumage Golden Plover were on the Golf Course.
Bryher – A Turtle Dove.
Inter-island waters – A Great Northern Diver was in The Roads.
Friday’s birds were:
St. Mary’s – The Night Heron was seen again early morning on Lower Moors. The Western Bonelli’s Warbler was still in the hedge on the south side of the Standing Stones Field, the 2 Dotterels were still on the golf course and a Pied Flycatcher was in the Garrison Pines.
Tresco – The 2 Black-necked Stilts and a Blue-headed Wagtail were still on the Great Pool.
St. Agnes – A Golden Oriole was in elms near the entrance to the Parsonage.
Saturday’s birds were:
St. Mary’s – A Richard’s Pipit & a male Dotterel where on the Golf Course and the female Little Bittern & a Night Heron were in Lower Moors.
St. Agnes – A Black Redstart
