A few Swallows, House Martin’s and Wheatears were seen around St. Mary’s.
This week’s birds of note were:
Saturday – An adult Caspian Gull was in Pentle Bay, Tresco. This was only the second record for Tresco, the first was a 1st –winter bird photographed on St. Agnes on October 11th last year. A Black-tailed Godwit was on Porth Hellick Pool and a Black Redstart was at Longstone.
Monday – A Cattle Egret flew over the Garrison.
Wednesday – A male Garganey was on in Lower Moors, a Spoonbill flew over Old town Bay and an early Hobby was over St. Lawrence’s Bay, St. Martin’s.
Friday – A Black Redstart was in a field by the airport.
