Friday’s birds were:
St. Mary’s – The Icterine Warbler was still on the Garrison and 2 Wood Sandpipers, a Green Sandpiper, 12 Greenshanks & a Kingfisher were on Porth Hellick Pool. A Sooty, a Balearic and 61 Cory’s Shearwaters flew past Deep Point.
St. Agnes – A Grey Phalarope, 60 Cory’s and 3 Great Shearwaters flew past Horse Point.
At sea – A Sooty, 5 Great & 42 Cory Shearwaters, 4 Great Skuas and 3 Ocean Sunfish were seen on the evening pelagic trip.
Saturday’s birds were:
St. Mary’s – The Icterine Warbler was still on the Garrison.
At sea – The birders who braved the rain and challenging seas on the daytime pelagic trip were well rewarded with views of 4 Wilson’s Storm-petrels, 25 Cory’s & 7 Great Shearwaters, a Great Skua, 3 Ocean Sunfish and a Blue Shark.
Sunday’s birds were:
St. Mary’s – The Icterine Warbler was still on the Garrison and a Wood and 3 Common Sandpipers were on Porth Hellick Pool.
At sea – The daytime pelagic trip produced a Great, 3 Sooty & 3 Cory’s Shearwater, a first-summer Long-tailed & 3 Great Skuas, an adult Yellow-legged Gull and 3 Blue Sharks, which were caught, tagged & released.
