Tuesday 29th July 2014 IoS Bird Sightings

St. Mary’s – A Kingfisher, a Ruff, 6 Greenshank and 2 Green Sandpipers were at Porth Hellick in the evening. The Ruff was also seen Monday evening.

Gugh – A Common Sandpiper and a juvenile Cuckoo.

Samson – 60 Sanderlings.

At sea – 2 Great Shearwaters and 1500+ Manx Shearwaters were seen from the Scillonian on the return crossing from St. Mary’s to Penzance
