Tuesday 18th to Thursday 20th March 2014 IoS Bird Sightings

Tuesday’s birds were:

St. Mary’s – The adult Night Heron flew over Shooters’ Pool, Lower Moors towards the airfield at 19:15. The 2 Greenland White-fronted Geese were still on Porth Hellick Pool.

Wednesday’s birds were:

St. Mary’s – The adult Night Heron was in Lower Moors twice: once at 15:40 when it flew from the reeds by the path towards the dump and again over Shooters’ Pool at 19:19, also a Siberian Chiffchaff was in Lower Moors. 2 Black Redstarts, 2 Great Northern Divers and a Peregrine were at Porthloo.

Thursday’s birds were:

St. Mary’s – The adult Night Heron flew over Longstone at 21:30
