Long Tailed Duck, Tean, IoS January 2013 (J.Pender)

St. Mary’s – 2 female Ring-necked Ducks (presumably from Tresco) were on Porth Hellick Pool but there was no sign of the 6 Greenland White-fronted Geese.

Tresco – 11 Grey Plovers, 5 Purple Sandpipers and 2 Dunlins were offshore on Foreman’s Island.

St. Martin’s – The Long-tailed Duck was off Higher Town Quay and 3 Grey Plover & a Purple Sandpiper were on St. Martin’s Flats.

Samson – A Knot, the Ruddy Shelduck and 7 Common Gulls. 3 Common Gulls were off-shore on Stony Island.

Teän – 11 Bar-tailed Godwits.
