All Islands Huge numbers of migrants are still feeding in the more sheltered parts of the islands with very large numbers of Blackcap, Willow Warbler and Wheatear in particular. Also there are many small flocks of Whimbrel.
St Mary’s – The imm male Eider was still at Pendrathen today. Three Lesser Whitethroats and a Tree Pipit were in the warbler filled fields at Watermill. A male Common Redstart was near Bar Point. Small groups of Swifts were over the island all day. A Marsh Harrier flew over Porth Hellick this afternoon. At least three Bar-tailed Godwits were on the island with two at Bar Point and one near Telegraph.
