St Mary’s – The Northern Waterthrush was seen at its favourite haunt by the pumping station on Lower Moors today and the first Black-headed Gull for some time was seen from the Garrison this afternoon.
Tresco – A Water Rail was out in the open on the Abbey Pool and two Greenshank and a Redshank were roosting on the Abbey Pool. An immature male Sparrowhawk was one Middle Down later in the day. A White Wagtail was on Gleaner Beach.
Western Rocks – Up to twenty Purple Sandpipers were in the Western rocks this morning.
