Whooper Swan 6 St. Agnes and 1 Tresco throughout.

Common Scoter 3 or 4 throughout Samson/Roads.

Red-breasted Merganser 1 in the Roads 26.10.

Red-throated Diver 2 off St. Martin’s.

Great Northern Diver 1 off Tresco.

Sooty Shearwater 2 past Porth Hellick Down 28.10.

Balearic Shearwater 2 past Porth Hellick Down 28.10.

Spoonbill 4 on Tresco or offshore islets throughout.

Grey Plover 3 on Bryher 27 & 28.10.

Jack Snipe 1 Lower Moors & 3 Porth Hellick Pool 24.10, 2 Porth Hellick Pool 25.10, 1 Porth Hellick Pool 26.10, 1 Lower Moors & 1 Porth Hellick Pool 27.10, 2 Lower Moors & 1 Porth Hellick Pool 28.10 and 1 Lower Moors 29.10.

Great Skua 1 6 miles north of Tresco 26.10, 1 past Porth Hellick Down 28.10 and 1 off Innisidgen 29.19.

Mediterranean Gull between 1 and 3 reported on St. Mary’s throughout.

Kittiwake 74 past Porth Hellick Down 28.10.

Short-eared Owl 1 on St. Martin’s on 28.10 & 29.10.

Kingfisher 1 Lower Moors 24.10.

Wryneck 1 Giant’s Castle 24.10.

Richard’s Pipit 1 in the pig field on Porthloo Lane.

CITRINE WAGTAIL 1 on Simpson’s Field, Tresco throughout

BLUETHROAT towards end of week at the new extension to Lower Moors Trail

Black Redstart Present on all islands throughout, with 50+ on 29/10.

Whinchat 1 Lower Moors 28.10 and 1 Pilot’s Retreat & 1 Shark’s Pit 29.10.

Northern Wheatear very few, 4 on 29.10 was the highest count.

OLIVE-BACKED PIPIT at Sunnyside Trial on 31.10

Ring Ouzel 1 Porthloo, 1 Peninnis & 1 Toll’s Island on 24.10, 1 Porthloo & 1 Peninnis on 25.10 & 26.10 and 1 Peninnis and 3 Gugh on 28.10.

Fieldfare Present throughout with a maximum of 100 on 29.10.

Redwing Present throughout with a maximum of 1000 on 29.10.

Mistle Thrush 1 Holy Vale 25- 28.10.

Cetti’s Warbler 1 was heard near the Incinerator.

Marsh Warbler A possible in the Juncus around the Big Pool, St. Agnes on 24-25.10.

Pallas’s Warbler 1 in the Parsonage, St. Agnes 27-29.10.

Yellow-browed Warbler Present throughout with a maximum of 8 reported on 27.10.

Radde’s Warbler 1 reported in Lower Moors 24.10 (we await the finders’ names) and one at Covean, St. Agnes 28-29.10.

Goldcrest Very scarce this October with the highest count being 13 on 25.10.

Firecrest Present throughout with a maximum of 12 reported on 25.10.

Rosy Starling 1 on St. Agnes throughout.

Brambling 2 St. Agnes & 2 Tresco 25.10, 4 Tresco, 1 St. Agnes, 1 Bryher & 1 St. Mary’s 26.10, 1 Tresco 27.10 and 1 Porth Hellick 29.10.

Serin 1 0n Bryher 25-29.10 making occasional visits to Tresco.

Siskin a small influx from 27.10.

Lesser Redpoll 1 on 25.10, 5 on 26.10 & 1 on 27.10 all on Tresco and 6 on Bryher on 28.10.

Lapland Bunting 1 on Peninnis on 25.10.

Snow Bunting 1 on Peninnis 22-29.10 and 1 flew from Porth Hellick Beach towards the Airfield on 29.10.

Little Bunting 1 Pool Road, Tresco on 26.10 and one (possibly a different bird) at Borough Farm, Tresco on the same date.

Reed Bunting 1 Lower Moors on 28.10.
