Hoopoe – 1 still on St. Agnes in a field along the track to the campsite.

Wryneck – 1 at Puckies Carn, Bryher.

Purple Heron  – 1 flew from Porth Hellick Loop Trail towards Salakee and it or another was seen later on Lower Moors Pool.

Great White Egret  – 1 flew west past Telegraph and 1 in Old Town Bay.

Hawfinch  – 1 in the back gardens of Jackson’s Hill which then flew towards Harry’s Wall and 1 in a garden on High Lanes.

Black-throated Diver  – An adult in Wine Cove at the end of Great Bay, St. Martin’s.

Great Northern Diver  – 1 in the Roads and 1 Great Porth, Bryher.

Shoveler – A drake flew over Bryher Campsite.

Common Sandpiper – 1 at Porth Minnick.

Merlin – 1 at Puckies Carn, Bryher.

Cuckoo  – 1 on Tresco

Skylark – 1 on Bryher.

Tree Pipit – 1 at Puckies Carn, Bryher.

Common Whitethroat  –  1 at Browarth.

Ring Ouzel  – 1 on Peninnis,  3 on Bryher, and 8+ on Wingletang, St. Agnes.

Common Redstart – A male on St, Agnes in  a field along the track to the campsite.

Black Redstart  – 1 on the Garrison and 2 on St. Agnes.

Pied Flycatcher  – 1 in Appletree Glade, Bryher.

Yellow Wagtail  – 1 dust bathing on King Edward’s Road, Peninnis.

Thursday (17/04)

Woodchat Shrike  – 1 at the south end of Samson Hill, Bryher.

Hooded Crow  – 1 at Pelistry and it or another  at the cricket pitch, St. Martin’s.

Great White Egret – 1 at Bar Point.

Common Sandpiper – 1 on Porthloo Beach.

Mediterranean Gull – 1 at Porthloo.

Merlin – 1 in the pine on Porthloo Lane and 1 at the south end of Samson Hill, Bryher.

Common Whitethroat – 3 on Bryher.

Grasshopper Warbler  – Heard reeling at 3 separate locations on Bryher.

Ring Ouzel – 1 at Puckies Carn, Bryher.1 still on Pelistry Lane,2 on St. Agnes and 1  at the south end of Samson Hill, Bryher

Common Redstart – 1 on the south slope of Shipman’s Head Down.

Whinchat – 1 on St. Agnes

Pied Flycatcher – 1 at Pelistry Farm and 1 Puckies Carn, Bryher.

Friday (18/04)

Serin  – A male was in an Elm Tree by the Project Pool, Lower Moors before flying off west.

Woodchat Shrike – 1 still at the south end of Samson Hill, Bryher.

Wryneck –1 at the north side of Hell Bay, Bryher.

Red-breasted Merganser – 1 midway between Watermill and Higher Town, St. Martin’s.

Great Northern Diver – 2 midway between Watermill and Higher Town, St. Martin’s.

Yellow-legged Gull – 2 on the beach at Pelistry Bay.

Common Sandpiper – 1 at Porthloo.

Whimbrel – 2 at Shark’s Pit.

Marsh Harrier – 1 at Pelistry.

Merlin – 1 at Porth Hellick and 1 on Bryher.

Firecrest – 1 on Borough Road, Tresco.

Common Whitethroat  – 1 at Rosehill and 3 on Bryher.

Ring Ouzel – 1 still at Pelistry and 1 on Shipman’s Head Down, Bryher.

Tree Pipit – 1 flew over Longstone calling.

Saturday (19/04)

Black Kite – 1 flew east over Old Town.

Woodchat Shrike – 1 still at the south end of Samson Hill, Bryher.

Wryneck –1 still on the north side of Hell Bay, Bryher.

Hooded Crow – 1 at MacFarland’s Down

Great White Egret – 1 at Toll’s Porth, 1 Porth Hellick Bay and 1 at Great Par, Bryher.

Great Northern Diver – 5 in Crow Sound.

Common Swift – 1 over the Riding Stables and Borough  Farm, St. Mary’s.

Grasshopper Warbler – 1 at Bryher Campsite and 1 between  Abbey Pool and the heliport, Tresco.

Garden Warbler – The first of the tear was 1 in  bushes at Newford duck pond.

Common Whitethroat – 5 on the Plains, Bryher and 1 Wingletang, St. Agnes.

Ring Ouzel – 1 in a field near the Pelistry Farm buildings, 1 on  Wingletang, St. Agnes and 2 on Shipman Head Down. Bryher.

Common Redstart – A female at Puckies Carn, Bryher and a female between the 2 pools on Tresco.

Pied Flycatcher – A female was in Popplestone fields, Bryher.

Yellow Wagtail – 1 flew east over Bryher Campsite.

Sunday (20/04)

Serin – 1 flew northwest over Abbey Pool, Tresco.

Night Heron – 1 seen briefly flying out of the reeds on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Cory’s Shearwater – An incredibly early bird flew past the airport turning circle.

Woodchat Shrike – 1 still at the south end of Samson Hill, Bryher.

Wryneck –1 still on the north side of Hell Bay, Bryher.

Hawfinch – 1 at Troy Town, St. Agnes and 1 at a garden  feeder on Tresco.

Great White Egret – 1 in Porth Hellick Bay and 1 on rocks off the south side of Tresco.

Great Northern Diver – 15 in the Roads and 3 in Pentle Bay.

Golden Plover – 1 on Castella Down, St. Agnes.

Whimbrel – 2 near Samson.

Hobby – A “probable” hunting hirundines over Longstone.

Marsh Harrier – 1 flew f=high north over Deep Point.

Raven – 1 flew over Teän.

Grasshopper Warbler – 11 reeling at Toll’s Hill, 1 reeling at the old school site,  and 1 reeling in fields north of New Grimsby, Tresco.

Monday (21/04)

Hawfinch – 1 at the junction of Carn Gwaval and Church Road,

Great Northern Diver – 1 off Bar Point and in summer plumage om South Beach, Tresco.

Great White Egret –1 on South Beach, Tresco.

Little Egret –1 at Toll’s Porth and 1 on Abbey Pool, Treco.

Golden Plover – 1 on St. Agnes.

Whimbrel – 2 on Porthloo Beach, 26 flew north up Tresco Channel.

Merlin – 1 on St. Agnes.

Ring Ouzel – 1 on St. Agnes.
