Hoopoe – 1 still in fields between Sandy Lane and Longstone.

Nightingale – 1 singing in the vineyard on St. Martin’s.

Purple Heron – 1 briefly in flight over Porth Hellick Pool

Great white Egret – 1 in Porth Cressa.

Great Northern Diver – 2 off Annet.

Pomarine Skua – 2 in Scilly waters, seen from the Scillonian III on the morning crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s.

Common Sandpiper – 1 at Porth Hellick.

Green Sandpiper – 1 at Porth Hellick.

Purple Sandpiper – 1 on Pednathise, Western Rocks

Whimbrel – 7 flew over St. Agnes heading towards St. Mary’s.

Rook – 1 flew over Higher Town, St. Agnes.

Reed Warbler – 1 in Lower Moors.

Sedge Warbler – The first of the year was 1 at Porth Hellick Pool.

Ring Ouzel  – 2 on the Golf Course, 1 on Peninnis and 4 on St5. Agnes.

Common Redstart  –  A male in the field opposite the church on ST. Agnes.

Black Redstart– 1 at Mount Todden and 1 on St. Agnes.

Saturday (12/04)

Red-rumped Swallow  – 2 over Porth Hellick

Serin – 1 flew east over the road entrance to Porth Hellick.

Hoopoe  – 2 on ST. Agnes.

Purple Heron  – 1 on Porth Hellick Pool.

Great White Egret  – 1+ seen at several locations on St. Mary’s/

Great Northern Diver  – 16 between the Garrison and Samson.

Whimbrel  – 7 at Toll’s Porth.

Jack Snipe  – 1 near Porth Hellick Loop.

Merlin  – 1 on Wingletang, St. Agnes.

Common Whitethroat  – 2 between Porth Minnick & the airfield turning circle and 1 on Wingletang, St. Agnes.

Grasshopper Warbler  – 1 reeling om the scrubby bank at the east end of Porth Mellon and 1 reeling in a pine belt on the Garrison.

Mistle Thrush  – 1 in a field on Telegraph lane  next to Rosehill Garden.

Redwing – 1 in a field on Telegraph lane  next to Rosehill Garden.

Ring Ouzel  – 6 on the Golf Course,1 on Peninnis and 10 on Wingletang, St. Agnes

Common Redstart – 1 in a field on Telegraph lane  next to Rosehill Garden.1 near the church on St, Agnes.

Black Redstart – 1 near the airport turning circle, 3 Porth Minnick, 1 on Porth Cressa Beach, 1 Peninnis and 1 on Wingletang. St. Agnes.

Whinchat  – 1 east of Peninnis Lighthouse was the first of the year.

Tree Pipit  – 1 flew south over fields south  of Carn Vean Tearooms.

Sunday (13/04)

Hoopoe – 2 on St. Agnes.

Purple Heron – 1 on Porth Hellick Pool  and then flew and dropped  behind the loop trail.

Night Heron – 1 flew over Lower Moors towards Old Town Bay at 21:00.

Great White Egret – 1 at Popplestone, Bryher.

Little Egret – 1 at Popplestone, Bryher.

Hawfinch – 1 at Porth Cressa children’s play park.

Jack Snipe . 1 flew from the north end of Porth Hellick Loop.

Merlin – 1 over the Airfield and 1 seen from the Seaward Hide on Porth Hellick Pool.

Common Whitethroat – 1 at St. Warna’s Cove, St. Agnes and 1 on ST. Martin’s Campsite.

Sedge Warbler – They have arrived. Birds have been seen/heard at Porth Hellick, Lower Moors and Porthloo Duck Pons in the last few days.

Ring Ouzel – 4 on the Golf Course, 1 on the Airfield, 1 Pelistry, 2 Deep Point, 1 by Carn Near, Tresco, 1 on Gugh and a minimum of 9, possibly 11 at Horse Point, St. Agnes.

Redwing – 1 at St. Warna’s Cove, St. Agnes.

Black Redstart – 3 in the Popplestone area on Bryher.

Pied Flycatcher – 1 in the Popplestone area on Bryher.

Monday (14/04)

Hoopoe – 1 still on St, Agnes in field along the track to the campsite.

Hawfinch – 1 flew out of a garden on Garrison Lane and 1 in Browarth fields, St. Agnes.

Ring Ouzel – 1 at the end of Peninnis,1 on Pelistry Lane and 4 on St. Agnes.

Black Redstart –1 on St, Agnes.

Tuesday (15/04)

Hoopoe – 1 still on St, Agnes in field along the track to the campsite.

Great White Egret  – 1 Old Town Bay and 1 Rushy Bay, Bryher.

Common Sandpiper – 1 at St. Warn’s cove, St. Agnes.

Whimbrel  – 1 on Porth Hellick Beach and 1 at Pendrathen.

Bar-tailed Godwit  – 5 at Pentle Bay, Tresco.

Mediterranean Gull – 2 at Pentle Bay, Tresco.

Great Northern Diver  – 1 in Great Porth, Bryher.

Yellow-legged Gill  – 1 at Pendrathen.

Merlin  – 1 on Wingletang, St. Agnes.

Harrier sp – An unidentified Harrier , probably Hen) flew over Tresco towards St. Agnes.

Cuckoo  – On St. Agnes, 1 on Wingletang and 1 on Porth Killier.

Common Whitethroat  – 1 on Wingletang Down, St. Agnes.

Grasshopper Warbler  – 1 was singing in a roadside 2 fields north of the Mount Todden turnoff.

Ring Ouzel  – 1 still on Pelistry lane opposite the farm, 6+ on St. Agnes, 3 on Bryher and 2 on St. Martin’s.

Fieldfare  – 1 on Tresco and 16on St, Agnes .

Redwing  – 1 flew past St. Agnes Lighthouse.

Black Redstart  – 1 on Porth Killier Beach, St. Agnes.

Pied Flycatcher  – 1 in Barnaby Lane, St. Agnes.

Yellow Wagtail  – 1 flew north over Parting Carn.
