Pallid Harrier – The juvenile flew over the Shooting Club on the Garrison, then over Hugh Town, where it landed at Shooters’ Pool (photo) for a couple of hours before flying over Old Town, (over Peninnis Head and out to sea.
Wison’s Snipe – A bird photographed at Porth Hellick Pool appeared to have all the necessary feature to clinch the identification.
Arctic Warbler – 1 at the bottom of the path up to the Seven Stones Inn, St. Martin’s.
Glossy Ibis – From locations and timings it would there were at least 2 around St. Mary’s. 1 was also seen on St. Agnes.
Cattle Egret – 1 flew out of the cattle fields on Pool road, Tresco.
Common Rosefinch – 2 on St. Martin’s.
Rose-coloured Starling – 1 around Sallyport/ Little Porth.
Little Bunting – 1 in the pumpkin field near the New Inn, Tresco.
Barred Warbler – 1 still in the pumpkin field on Tresco, 1 below the Seven Stones Inn and 1 still at the bottom of Cove Vean, St. Agnes.
Red-breasted Flycatcher – 1 Watermill near Peacehaven,
Snow Bunting – 1 at Giant’s Castle (photo).
Wryneck – 1 in the Porth Minnick area and 1 in a field hedge between Holy Vale & Longstone,
Dotterel – 1 with 3 Golden Plover commuting between Castle Down, Tresco and Shipman Head Down, Bryher.
Cory’s Shearwater – 150 from seawatch off Peninnis Head from 07:45-08:15, 117 in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the morning crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s and 67 in Scillonian waters on the return crossing.
Great Shearwater – 5 in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the morning crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s and 3 in Scillonian waters on the return crossing.
Sooty Shearwater – 9 from seawatch off Peninnis Head from 07:45-08:15, 3 in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the morning crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s
Manx Shearwater – 8 in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the morning crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s ann4 in Scillonian waters on the return crossing.
European Storm-petrel –19 in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the morning crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s.
Common Tern – 1 in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the morning crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s.
Great Skua – 2 in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the morning crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s and 1 in Scillonian waters on the return crossing.
Puffin – 4 in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the morning crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s and 3 in Scillonian waters on the return crossing.
Great Northern Diver –1 flew north past Watermill Cove.
Black-throated Diver –1 on Scillonian waters on the return crossing from St, Mary’s to Penzance.
Red-throated Diver –1 off Watermill Cove.
Pink-footed Goose –1 still in a field at Normandy.
Dark-bellied Brent Goose –1 on rocks at Porth Cressa.
Pintail – The juvenile was still on Lower Moors Pool and a drake was on Abbey Pool, Tresco.
Golden Plover – 3 with the Dotterel commuting between Castle Down, Tresco & Shipman Head Down, Bryher, 17 at the north end of Tresco and 1 on St. Agnes.
Grey Plover – 1 on St. Agnes.
Jack Snipe –1 on Porth Hellick Pool and 1 still in Lower Moors.
Ruff – 1 still on Porthloo Beach.
Black-tailed Godwit – 1 Porth Cressa.
Little Egret –1 Old Town Bay, 2 Little Porth and 3 in Porth Hellick Bay.
Merlin – 1 flew over Peninnis Head and 1 over Higher Moors.
Marsh Harrier – 1 flew over the airport, and Higher Moors.
Kingfisher – 1 on St. Agnes.
Skylark – 2 flew over Lower Moors and 2 were on St. Agnes.
Ring Ouzel – 1 along Salakee Farm Lane.
Firecrest – 2 in Carreg Dhu Gardens and 1 near the Seven Stones Inn, St. Martin’s
Yellow-browed Warbler –1 in Lower Moors between Shooters’ Pool & Rosehill ,1 at the Old Town end of Lower Moors and 1 by the road at Higher Moors.
Siberian Chiffchaff – 1 in the Standing Stones Field and 1 in Holy Vale.
Lesser Whitethroat –1 Trench Lane, Old Townand 1 at the Star Castle end of the Garison playing field.
Black Redstart – 5 on St. Mary’s
Common Redstart – 1 still in top field of Peninnis Farm Trail.
Whinchat –1 at the Star Castle end of the Garison playing field.
Pied Flycatcher –1 still on the top path above Holy Vale Trail and 1 on St. Agnes.
Spotted Flycatcher –1 at the Star Castle end of the Garison playing field.
Grey Wagtail –1 on Porth Hellick Pool. And in a field at Normandy.
Siskin – A noticeable clear-out, with less than 10 reported.
Reed Bunting –1 a field on Carn Friars Lane.
American Painted Lady –1 between Blue Carn and the airport turning circle.

Wison’s Snipe – The bird thought to be this species was still at Porth Hellick Pool.
Olive-backed Pipit – 1 on St. Agnes Cricket pitch flew towards Troy Town.
Glossy Ibis – 1 around St. Mary’s. and on St. Agnes.
Cattle Egret – 1 on the Great Pool, Tresco which then flew to a cattle field behind St. Nicholas ‘Church.
Spoonbill – 4 on Samson/ Green Island.
Common Rosefinch – 2 trapped and ringed at Porth Hellick and 1 still on St. Martin’s
Rose-coloured Starling – 1 around Sallyport/Star Castle/Buzza.
Little Bunting – 1 trapped and ringed at Porth Hellick, 1 in a hedge along the road at Normandy and 1 at Troy Town, St. Agnes.
Barred Warbler – 1 still in the pumpkin field on Tresco.
Red-breasted Flycatcher – 1 Harry’s Wall.
Red-backed Shrike – An adult male was in a hedge west of Newford Duck Pond (photo).
Lapland Bunting – 1 flew high over Porth Hellick and 1 was on the west side of Peninnis (photo).
Snow Bunting – 1 still at Giant’s Castle…

Short-eared Owl – 1 by the airport turning circle.
Dotterel – 1 still on Shipman Head Down, Bryher and probably the same bird on Castle Down, Tresco.
Cory’s Shearwater – c300 on a daytime pelagic trip….
Great Shearwater – 35 on a daytime pelagic trip.
Sooty Shearwater – 7 on a daytime pelagic trip.
Yellow-legged Gull – An adult was on the Western Rocks and a juvenile was briefly on Porth Hellick Pool.
Great Skua – 1 on a daytime pelagic trip.
Puffin – 5 on a daytime pelagic trip.
Grey Phalarope – 1 on a daytime pelagic trip.
Pink-footed Goose –1 still in a field at Normandy.
Golden Plover – 31 the airfield and 3 in a field on Pungies Lane.
Jack Snipe –1 on Porth Hellick Pool and it or another trapped and ringed there.
Purple Sandpiper –10 on the Western Rocks (photo).
Ruff – 1 still on Porthloo Beach.
Black-tailed Godwit – 1 Pendrathen.
Whimbrel – 1 on Green Island, 1 on rocks in Pelistry Bay, 2 Pendrathen and 1 New Grimsby, Tresco.
Little Egret – 1 Pendrathen and 6 on the south side of Samson.
Common Buzzard – 1 seen around St. Mary’s and later seen over Gugh.
Merlin – 1 flew over Buzza, 1 east over Trewince and 1 flew south of Popplestone Cove, Bryher.
Ring Ouzel – 3 flew inland at Bar Point.
Firecrest – 2 still in Carreg Dhu Gardens, 1 at Abbey Crossroads, Tresco.
Yellow-browed Warbler – 1 at Morning Point. Garrison, 1 by the gate at the Old Town end of Lower Moors, 1 on Porth Hellick Loop, 1 Newford duck Pond and 1 at Abbey Crossroads, Tresco.
Siberian Chiffchaff – 1 trapped and ringed at Porth Hellick and 1in mallows at Great Porth, Bryher.
Lesser Whitethroat – 1 in the Standing Stones Field and 1 on Porth Hellick Loop.
Fieldfare – 80+ on St. Mary’s.
Redwing – 80+ on St. Mary’s.
Black Redstart – 5 on St. Mary’s.
Whinchat –1 in the field by the Mainland Marketing shed below the airfield.
Pied Flycatcher –1 still on the top path above Holy Vale Trail and 1 in the Dead Pine Walk on the Garrison.
Spotted Flycatcher – 1 in the Dead Pine Walk on the Garrison.
Yellow Wagtail – 1 calling over Normandy House.
Grey Wagtail – 1 Harry’s Walls.
Siskin – 40 on Porth Hellick Loop and 6 over Porth Hellick Down.
Redpoll –1flew over Tremelethen Farm.
Reed Bunting –1 in the Buzza play area, 1 in a field opposite the entrance to Trewince Farm. and 1 Hillside Farm, Bryher,
Fin Whale – 2 on a daytime pelagic trip.
