Dusky Warbler – 1 still in bushes halfway along the path from the road to the Stephen Sussex hide.

Barn Owl – 1 again hunting around the Parting Carn Fields at dusk.

Great Northern Diver – 1 near Toll’s Island.

Green Sandpiper – 1 flew over the Standing Stones Field.

Swallow – 1 around Tregarthen’s  Hotel and Porth Cressa.

Yellow-browed Warbler – 1 on Porth Hellick Loop.

Siberian Chiffchaff – 2 in the same area as the Dusky Warbler.

Black Redstart – 3 Porth Arlo and 1 Little Porth.

Monday (02/12)

Dusky Warbler – 1 still in bushes halfway along the path from the road to the Stephen Sussex hide.

Great White Egret – 1 Old Town Bay and 1 Porth Hellick Bay.

 Little Egret – 1 Old Town Bay.

Woodcock – 1 at Carn Friars and 1 at Porth Hellick House.

Hen Harrier – A “probable” was seen in silhouette over Salakee Lane.

Merlin – 1 flew through Longstone.

Yellow-browed Warbler – 1 still on Porth Hellick Loop.

Tuesday (03/12)

Dusky Warbler – 1 still in bushes halfway along the path from the road to the Stephen Sussex hide.

Barn Owl – 1 again hunting around the Parting Carn Fields at dusk.

Great White Egret – 1 Old Town Bay.

Pink=footed Goose  – 8 still in fields at Pelistry.

Great Northern Diver –1 off Halangy Point.

Yellow-legged Gull  – An adult on the rocks below Porth Hellick Down.

Arctic Skua – 2 off Porth Hellick Down, chasing Kittiwakes.

Bar-tailed Godwit – 1 at Porthloo

Whimbrel – 1 at Toll’s Porth.

Merlin – An adult male chased a Kingfisher for about 90 seconds over Porth Mellon before both disappeared into the wood behind the lifeboat station.

Great Spotted Woodpecker – 1 in the same area as the Dusky Warbler.

Firecrest – 1 at Higher Moors pumping station.

Wednesday (04/12)

Manx Shearwater  – 3 off Round Island.

Fulmar – 49 off Round Island.

Great White Egret  – 1 on Tresco.

Pintail – A drake on Tresco.

Wigeon – 6 on Tresco.

Shoveler – 5 on Tresco and the female was still on Shooters’ Pool.

Pochard – 9 on Tresco.

Bar-tailed Godwit –5 on Tresco.

Mediterranean Gull –32 on Tresco.

Merlin – 1 on Tresco.

Siberian Chiffchaff – 2 on Tresco.

Firecrest – 1 on Tresco.

Thursday (05/12)

On a wild, wet and windy day, the only report was:

Black Redstart – A cracking male was on the beach below Tregarthen’s  Hotel.

Friday (06/12)

Dusky Warbler – 1 was still in bushes on the path between the road and Porth Hellick Pool.

Great White Egret – 1 in Porth Hellick Bay.

Hen Harrier – A ringtail flew over Higher Moors and Porth Hellick Pool/

Siberian Chiffchaff – 2 were in the same area as the Dusky Warbler.

Firecrest– 1 in Holy Vale (photo).

Saturday (07/12)

Mediterranean Gull – 32 in Porth Cressa.

Firecrest– 1 Tremelethen Farm.

Black Redstart – 2 on Porth Cressa Beach.
