Lesser Yellowlegs – 1 still on Simpson’s Field, Tresco.

Hawfinch – 1 flew over the Sunnyside Farm Trai and 1 on Tresco.

Cattle Egret – 2 still in the cow field behind Sage House.

Spoonbill – 3 on Green Island near Samson.

Cory’s Shearwater – 2 flew past.. Horse Point

Whooper Swan – 7 on Tresco.

Barnacle Goose – 1 in the fire station field, St. Martin’s.

Pintail – A drake on Abbey Pool, Tresco.

Goldeneye – 2 on Abbey Pool, Tresco.

Common Scoter – 1 flew past Horse Point

Little Grebe – 2 on Abbey Pool, Tresco.

Lapwing – 5 flew over Carn Friars.

Golden Plover – 1 flew over the Sunnyside Farm Trail.

Mediterranean Gull – 28 on Abbey Pool, Tresco.

Skylark –33 flew over the Newford/Trenoweth area and 22 Kittydown.

Yellow-browed Warbler  – 1 on the Sunnyside Farm Trail, 1 trapped and ringed at Porth Hellick Ringing Station, 5 in the Newford. Trenoweth area (photo) and 4  on Tresco.

Siberian Chiffchaff – 2 in the Newford/Trenoweth area.

Willow Warbler – 2 “Northern type” in the Newford/Trenoweth area

Firecrest – 1 Tremelethen Trail, 1 Longstone and 2 on Treso.

Ring Ouzel – 1 Kittydown and Mount Todden.

Black Redstart – 8 Little Porth and 4 on Tresco.

Siskin – 21 in the Newford/Trenoweth area.

Brambling – 1 Sunnyside Farm Trail and 3 Newford (photo)

Reed Bunting – 2 in the Newford/Trenoweth area.

Monday (04/11)

Little Bunting – 2 still on the Sunnyside Farm Trail.

Hoopoe – 1 still at Timmy’s Hill, Bryher (photo).

Hawfinch – 2 flew over Porth Cressa heading towards the Garrison, where 1 landed in a garden behind Star Castle.

Bullfinch – 1 at Longstone, this is a very scarce species on Scilly.

Cattle Egret – 2 still in the field with cattle behind Sage House.

Great Wite Egret  – 1 in Porth Hellick Bay and 1 in Appletree Bay, Bryher.

Cory’s Shearwater – 1 south of Peninnis, 7 flew past Tolman’s Point between 15:20  & 15 :50 and 2 seen in Scilly waters from the Scillonian III on the crossing  from Penzance to St. Mary’s.

Sooty Shearwater  – 1 flew past Tolman’s Point between 15:20 & 15 :50.

Manx Shearwater  – 4 seen in Scilly waters from the Scillonian III on the crossing  from Penzance to St. Mary’s.

Mediterranean Gull – 20 seen in Scilly waters from the Scillonian III on the crossing  from Penzance to St. Mary’s.

Osprey – 1 fishing close inshore off the Garrison was also seen over Green Bay, Bryher and  at Porth Hellick.

Marsh Harrier – A male over Lower Moors.

Whooper Swan – 12 still on Bryher Pool.

Common Scoter – A drake in the Roads.

Lapwing – 12 over the airfield.

Grey Plover – 2 flew north through the Roads.

Golden Plover – 34 flew past the Golf Course and 27 flew over the airport terminal.

Jack Snipe – 1 on Lower Moors Pool and 1 on Porth Hellick Pool.

Great Spotted Woodpecker – 1 at Longstone.

Yellow-browed Warbler  – 5 in Lower Moors, 1 at Watermill and 1 behind Island Fish, Bryher. 1 of the Lower Moors birds was photographed and seen to be colour-ringed and had originally been ringed on Lundy Island on 23/10/24.

Siberian Chiffchaff – 1 by the sewage plant at the Old Town end  of Lower Moors and 1 at Watermill.

Lesser Whitethroat – 1 that was possibly one of  “Siberian” races was at Pendrathen by the boat yard.

Firecrest – 2 in Lower Moors and 1 still at Timmy’s Hill, Bryher.

Ring Ouzel – 1 still by the Millstone on King Edward’s Road, Peninnis.

Mistle Thrush – 1 in the ploughed field at the Peninnis end of the Peninnis Farm Trail.

Brambling – 3 in Lower Moors.

Siskin – 15 in Lower Moors.

Tuesday (05/11)

Wilson’s Snipe – What was thought to be the bird seen last month was back on Lower Moors 

Pool.

Blyth’s Reed Warbler – A  “possible” was in the Dup Clump.

Little Bunting – 2 still on the Sunnyside Farm Trail.1 of the birds is ringed.

Hawfinch – 1 in the orchard maze on the Carn Friars Farm Track and 1 briefly in a garden of the staff accommodation for Star Castle on the Garrison.

Barnacle Goose – 1 still in the fire station field, St. Martin’s.

Spoonbill – 3 still on Green Island, near Samson.

Lapwing – 3 flew over Telegraph and 23 flew over the Golf Course and then over Telegraph Road.

Golden Plover – 8  at Porthloo.

Green Sandpiper  – 1 flew east over Telegraph Road and dropped onto Lower Moors Pool.

Jack Snipe – 6 on Lower Moors Pool.

Woodcock – 5+ in the Porth Hellick area and 1 flew over the Sunnyside Farm Trail.

Cory’s Shearwater – 2 off Deep Point.

Osprey – 1 flew over St. Mary’s Hospital.

Yellow-browed Warbler – 1 in the bushes by Higher Moors pumping station, 5 in Lower Moors, 2 in the Dump Clump and 1 in the orchard maze on the Carn Friars Farm Track.

Siberian Chiffchaff – 1 in the Standing Stones Field.

Firecrest – 1 in the bushes by Higher Moors pumping station.

Fieldfare – 1 in the orchard maze on the Carn Friars Farm Track.

Redwing – c20 in the orchard maze on the Carn Friars Farm Track.

Ring Ouzel – 1 in the orchard maze on the Carn Friars Farm Track.

Black Redstart – 1 in a garden of the staff accommodation for Star Castle on the Garrison.

Grey Wagtail – 2 in a garden of the staff accommodation for Star Castle on the Garrison.

Brambling – 1  on the Sunnyside Farm Trail.
