WILSON’S SNIPE – What was probably the bird seen on Monday was flushed from Lower Moors Pool on to adjacent horse field.
Olive-backed Pipit – 2 by the bulb dump on St. Agnes (photo).
Short-toed Lark – 1 still in a field on the west side of King Edward’s Road Peninnis.
Hoopoe – 1 still on Bryher.
Red-backed Shrike – 1 still in the Standing Stone Field and 1 still at Porth Minnick.
Snow Bunting – 1 Troy Town maze, St. Agnes.
Great White Egret – Stil; 4+ around the islands.
Cattle Egret – 1 flew from Porth Hellick towards Longstone and was later seen on Tresco.
Little Egret – 1 Old Town Bay.
Spoonbill – 1 still on Green Island near Samson.
Little Tern – 1 fishing along Gleaner Beach, Tresco.
Whooper Swan – 8+ around the islands.
Barnacle Goose – 26 on Annet, some with colour rings and neck collars. And later up to 30 on Bryher.
Pink-footed Goose – 1 in a field at Browarth, St. Agnes and later flew over Newford and the airport.
Wigeon – 2 Porth Hellick Pool.
Dotterel – 1 flew over Longstone and landed on the Golf Course and 3 on Castle Down, Tresco.
Golden Plover – 25 on the airfield/ golf course, 2 flew over Peninnis and 2 were on Castle Down, Tresco.
Jack Snipe – 2 Sandy Lane, 2 on Lower Moors Pool, 1 on the Great Pool, Tresco and 1 over Shipman Head Down, Bryher.
Lapwing – 1 in a field at the junction of Porthloo Lane and Telegraph Road.
Bar-tailed Godwit – 3 Porthloo Beach
Whimbrel – 8 on St. Mary’s and 2 St. Agnes.
Osprey – Still 2 around the islands.
Marsh Harrier – 1 over Annet.
Short-eared Owl – 1 flew from St. Agnes towards the Garrison.
Merlin – 2 around St. Mary’s, 1 St. Martin’s 1 Tresco and 1 St. Agnes/Gugh.
Yellow-legged Gill – An adult at Periglis, St. Agnes and a first-winter on Newford Island, Porthloo.
Kingfisher – 1 on the west side of Peninnis and 1 Old Town Bay.
Wryneck – 1 still on the west side of Peninnis and 1 by the Turk’s Head , St. Agnes.
Skylark – 1 in a field at the junction of Porthloo Lane and Telegraph Road.
Common Whitethroat – 1 on the track to Innisidgen.
Lesser Whitethroat – A “Siberian” type was on Gugh.
Yellow-browed Warbler – 19 on St. Mary’s, 1 Bryher, 2 St. Agnes and 2 Gugh.
Siberian Chiffchaff – 1 by the pumping station at Lower Moors.
Firecrest – 10 St. Mary’s, 1 Tresco and 1 St. Agnes.
Fieldfare – 1 Pelistry.
Redwing – A noticeable influx across the islands.
Ring Ouzel – 1 on the west side of Peninnis, 2 Carn Friars Fruit Cage.
Spotted Flycatcher – 1 Holy Vale, 1 Content, 1 St. Agnes and 2 on Gugh.
Pied Flycatcher – 1 Old Town Churchyard, 1 Sandy Lane and 1 Holy Vale, and 1 Porthloo Lane/Telegraph Road junction.
Black Redstart – 1 Town Beach, 1 between he school and church on Tresco, 1 Troy Town Maze, St. Agnes and 1 Cove Vean St. Agnes.
Whinchat – 1 in a field near Porth Hellick Burial Chamber and 1 near the airport terminal.
Grey Wagtail – 3 Parting Carn and 2 Porth Minnick
Reed Bunting – 1 Porth Hellick.

Brambling – The first report of the autumn. Was of 1 on Harry’s Walls.
Snow Bunting – 1 on Pelistry Beach which flew in from Toll’s Island.
