Western Bonelli’s Warbler – 1 seen again briefly at the corner of Borough Road and the Great Pool, Tresco.

Spotted Crake – 1 still on the Great Pool, Tresco, seen briefly from the Swarovski hide.

Great White Egret –  Still at least 3 around the islands.

Bluethroat – 1 still in Lower Moors.

Red-breasted Flycatcher  – The ringed bird still in the sallows just east of the gate at seaward end of the Porth Hellick boardwalk. Possibly a second bird also present.

Osprey – 1 still around the islands.

Grey Phalarope – 1 in Scilly waters, seen from the Scillonian III on the crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s.

Cory’s Shearwater – 30 in Scilly waters, seen from the Scillonian III on the crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s and 7 past Great Bay St. Martin’s.

Great Shearwater – 6 in Scilly waters, seen from the Scillonian III on the crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s.

Sooty Shearwater –  1 in Scilly waters, seen from the Scillonian III on the crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s.

Arctic Skua –  1 Great Bay, St. Martin’s.

Dotterel – 3 halfway along the track from New Grimsby to King Charles’ Castle, Tresco.

Golden Plover – 6 halfway along the track from New Grimsby to King Charles’ Castle, Tresco.

Merlin –  1 Middle Town, St. Martins’.

Cory’s Shearwater – 15 past Peninnis head from 07:55 to 08:15, 4 flew past Kettle Point, Tresco between 11:30 – 12:00.

Wryneck – 1 still at Porth Wreck.

Firecrest  – 1 Carreg Dhu Gardens and 3 on Bryher.

Common Redstart – 1 still at Carn Friars Farm.

Spotted flycatcher – 2 Holy Vale, 1 on the Garrison and 4 on Bryher.

Pied Flycatcher – 1 Holy Vale.

Whinchat – 1  a field opposite the top of Porthloo Lane,1 in a field on Csrn Friars Farm and 1 south of Parting Csrn Farm.

Yellow Wagtail – 3 near Porth Hellick House,2 Borough Farm, St. Mary’s and 1 Porth Hellick.

Saturday (28/09

Western Bonelli’s Warbler – 1 still by the beehives at the southeast end of the Great Pool, Tresco.

Spotted Crake – 1 still on the Great Pool, Tresco, seen from the Swarovski hide and  1 showed well in the Standing Stones Field, Lower Moors.

Great White Egret –  Still 3 or 4 around the islands,

Red-breasted Flycatcher  – 1 at Cove Vean, St. Agnes

Red-backed Shrike –A juvenile om the coastal path between Porth Hellick & Pelistry, a juvenile by the solar panels below the airfield and an adult male between Lower Town and the Campsite, St. Martin’s.

Lapland Bunting – 1 Castle Down, Tresco.

Osprey – 2 still around the islands.-

Marsh Harrier – 1 on Annet.

Merlin – 1 on Castle Down Tresco ,1  on Bryher and 1 at Cpve Vean, St. Agnes

Sort-eared Owl – 1 Castle Down, Tresco.

Little Egret – 6 on the 2 pools on Tresco.

Dotterel – 3 on Shipman Head Down, Bryher and later seen on Castle Down, Tresco.

Golden Plover – 2 Giant’s Castle, 1 over Higher Moors and 1 Castle Down, Tresco.

Jack Snipe – 1 Higher Moors and 1 still on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Bar-tailed Godwit  – 1 on Pentle Bay Beach, Tresco

Common Sandpiper – 1  on Par Beach, St. Martin’s.

Whimbrel –  1 Porth Hellick Beach.

Little Grebe – 2 at the east end of the Great Pool.

Pale-bellied Brent Goose  – 1  at Periglis, St. Agnes.

Pochard – 2 drakes on Tresco.

Kingfisher – 1 Porth Hellick Pool…….

Skylark – 4 over Giant’s Castle,  1 over the Higher Moor, 2 Trewince and 1 Chapel Down, St. Martin’s.

Firecrest – 8 on St. Mary’s, 1 Hillside Farm, Bryher and 2  near the Seven Stones pub, St. Martin’s

Yellow-browed Warbler  – 3 in Lower Moors, 1 south of the end of Longstone  Lane, 1 near Higher Moors Pumping Station and 1 Hillside Farm, Bryher.

Garden Warbler – 1 Barnaby Lane, St. Agnes.

Spotted Flycatcher – I Rosehill and 1 south of Higher Town, St. Martin’s.

Pied Flycatcher  – 4 St. Mary’s, 1 Higher Town St, Martin’s and 1 Hillside Farm, Bryher,

Whinchat – 1 on the airfield, 1 on the coastal path just past Juliet’s and 2 on Bryher.

Common Redstart  – Old Town Churchyard, 1 Porth Minnick and 1 on the coastal path just past Juliet’s Garden.

Tree Pipit  – 1 Rocky Hill.

Yellow Wagtail – 1 over Lower Town, St. Martin’s.

Grey Wagtail – 1 over Hugh Town,

Ortolan Bunting – 1  dropped into fields along Sandy Lane.

Great White Egret  – 1  Porth Hellick and 3 on Tresco.

Red-backed Shrike –  1 in the allotment opposite the incinerator

Common Rosefinch – 1 at Porth Killier, St. Agnes.

Yellow-browed Warbler – 1 calling at Shooters; Pool, Lower Moors.

Black Redstart – 1 on Tresco Cricket Pitch was the first report of the autumn.

Cory’s Shearwater  – 74 flew past Peninnis Head  08:05- 09:55 and 168 flew past Giant’s Castle 09:00-12:00

Great Shearwater  –  9 flew past Giant’s Castle 09:00-12:00.

Sooty Shearwater  – 7  flew past Giant’s Castle 09:00-12:00.

Manx Shearwater  –  C30 flew past Giant’s Castle 09:00-12:00.

Pomarine Skua – 1 flew past Giant’s Castle 09:00-12:00.

Common Tern – 1 flew past Giant’s Castle 09:00-12:00.

Dotterel – 1 at Giant’s Castle early evening.

Green Sandpiper – 1 flew over the Standing Stones Field, Lowe Moors.

Bar-tailed Godwit – 1 Porthloo Beach.

Common Gull – 1 Porthloo Beach.

Mediterranean Gull – 15 in Porth Cressa.

Spotted Flycatcher – 1 in the allotment opposite the incinerator and 1 at the Garrison Campsite.

Common Redstart – 1 at Porth Killier, St. Agnes.

Reed Bunting  1 in Lower Moors.

Monday (30/09)

Great White Egret  – Still 3+around the islands.

Spotted Crake – Still 1 on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Sort-toed Lark – 1 early evening in the pig  field on King Edward’s Road. Peninnis.

Barred Warbler – 1 in Barnaby Cottage Garden. St. Agnes

Common Rosefinch – 1 still on St. Agnes.

Red-breasted Flycatcher – 1 still at Porth Hellick, 1 Green Farm and  1  by St. Agnes School.

Red-backed Shrike – The adult male was still on St. Martin’s, 1 was in a field near the end of Peninnis. The 1 seen yesterday in the dump allotments was still present in the morning and what was probably the same bird moved to fields opposite Old Town Bay.

Yellow-browed Warbler  – 8 0n St. Mary’s, 1 on St. Agnes, 1 on Bryher and 1 on St. Martin’s.

Wryneck – 1 near Carn Vean Tea Rooms and 1 Cove Vean, St. Agnes.

Whooper Swan – 1 at Porth Killier, St. Agnes later flew over Porth Cressa before settling on the Great Pool. Tresco.

Pale-bellied Brent Goose – 9 Bryher Pool.

Little Grebe – 3 on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Marsh Harrier – 1 flew over Middle Town, St. Martin’s.

Merlin – 1 over Telegraph and 1 over Higher Town, St. Martin’s.

Dotterel – 1 flew over St. Agnes and  Sunnyside Farm

Raven  – 1 on St. Martin’s

Skylark – 21 flew over Telegraph Road.

Firecrest – 6 on St. Mary’s.

Common Whitethroat – 7 St. Mary’s and 2 St. Martin’s.

Ring Ouzel – 1  near the Dump Clump which then flew towards Old Town.

Spotted Flycatcher  – 7 on St. Mary’s, 3 on St. Martin’s, 2 on Bryher and 1 on Tresco.

Pied Flycatcher – 13 on St. Mary’s, 1 on Bryher and 1 on St. Martin’s.

Whinchat – 6 St. Mary’s

Common Redstart  – 5 St. Mary’s
