Cory’s Shearwater – 25 on the evening pelagic, 57 in a 90 minute evening sea-watch of Peninnis Head and 30+ in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the morning crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s.

Great Shearwater – 450 on the evening pelagic, 81 in a 90 minute evening sea-watch of Peninnis Head and 100+ in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the morning crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s

Monday (26/08)

GULL-BILLED TERN – ! fishing in Porth Cressa was only the 7th for Scilly and the first record since 2000.

Pectoral Sandpiper – 1 by the Great Pool, Tresco.

Sabine’s Gull  – 3 together, seen in Scilly waters from the Scillonian III on the return trip from St. Mary’s to Penzance.
