European Storm-petrel – 40 on the evening pelagic and from the Scillonian III, in Scilly waters, 1 on the outward crossing to St. May’s and 3 on the return crossing to Penzance.

Cory’s Shearwater – 16 on the evening pelagic and from the Scillonian III, in Scilly waters, 1 on the outward crossing to St. Mary’s and 7 on the return crossing to Penzance.

Great Shearwater – 110 on the evening pelagic and from the Scillonian III, in Scilly waters, 3 on the outward crossing to St. Mary’s and 15 on the return crossing to Penzance.

Sooty Shearwater – 2 on the evening pelagic.

Manx Shearwater – 200 on the evening pelagic.

Grey Phalarope – 3 (the first of the year) on the evening pelagic.

Little Egret – 1 on Porth Hellick Pool.

South Polar Skua – 1 on an evening pelagic 10 km southeast of St. Mary’s (photo). This is the second record this year. There are 10 accepted British Records, 5 of which have been seen f…..rom the MV Sapphire.

Wilson’s Storm-petrel – 2 on a daytime pelagic 10 km southeast of St. Mary’s.

Cory’s Shearwater – 45 on the daytime pelagic and  in Scilly waters, 1 seen from the Scillonian III on the early morning crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s and  7 on the late afternoon return trip.

Great Shearwater – 210 on the daytime pelagic and 50 in Scilly waters, seen from the Scillonian III on the late afternoon return trip from St. Mary’s to Penzance.

Sooty Shearwater – 6 on the daytime pelagic.

Manx Shearwater – 1000 on the daytime pelagic.

Shoveler – 1 on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Pintail – 1 on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Mediterranean Gull – A juvenile on the Great Pool, Tresco.

Great Skua – 4 on the daytime pelagic.

Arctic Skua – 1 on the daytime pelagic.

Arctic Tern – 7 on the daytime pelagic.

Fin Whale – 3 (including a calf), gave awesome views on the daytime pelagic (photo).

Short-beaked Common Dolphin – 80 on the daytime pelagic.

Atlantic Bluefin Tuna – 1 on the daytime pelagic.
