Cory’s Shearwater – 2 seen in Scilly waters from the Scillonian III on the evening crossing from St. Mart’s to Penzance.
Cuckoo – A juvenile being fed by a pair of Rock Pipits near Camel Rock.

Great Shearwater – 1 seen in Scilly waters from the Scillonian III on the morning crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s.
Little Egret – 1 in Tresco Channel.
Pied Wagtail – 1 by the Great Pool, Tresco.
White Wagtail – 1 by the Great Pool, Tresco.

SOUTH POLAR SKUA – The cherry on the cake topping off an excellent evening pelagic trip, was 1 seen on the way back to St. Mary’s (photo). 3 birds were seen on last year’s pelagic, let’s hope they become an annual sighting on the Scilly Pelagic trips.

Great Shearwater – 25 seen on the evening pelagic trip 5 km southwest of Bishop Rock (photo).
Sooty Shearwater – 18 seen on the evening pelagic trip 5 km southwest of Bishop Rock (photo).
Manx Shearwater – 300 seen on the evening pelagic trip 5 km southwest of Bishop Rock.
Yellow-legged Gull – A second-summer bird was seen on the evening pelagic trip 5 km southwest of Bishop Rock.
Blue Shark – 2 caught, tagged and released on the evening pelagic trip 5 km southwest of Bishop Rock.

Sunday (07/07)
Great Shearwater – 1 flew west past Giant’s Castle between 08:30 & 09:00.
Manx Shearwater – 45 flew west past Giant’s Castle between 08:30 & 09:00.
Common Sandpiper – 6 on the rocks by Porth Wreck.
Hobby – 1 over the hospital and then over the Chaplaincy.
Cuckoo – 2 or 3 young birds being fed by Rock Pipits at different locations on St. Mary’s. This is the first proven breeding for several years.
Wheatear – The female was still om Porth Hellick Down and has now been present for over a month.
