Cattle Egret – 3 in the field just north of the Road by the entrance to Higher Moors.
Greylag Goose – 1 still in the “Iris field, the field just north of the Road by the entrance to Higher Moors.
Great Northern Diver – 2 off Town Beach.
Mediterranean Gull – 1 in Porthloo Bay.
Redwing – 6 in Lower Moors.
Grey Wagtail – 1 at the dump
Brambling – A female in the Standing Stones Field.
Humpback Whale – 1 between the Garrison and Samson.
Monday (25/12)
Cattle Egret – 3 still in the 2nd field south of Longstone Bungalow.
Greylag Goose – 1 still in the Iris field.
Whimbrel – 1 Pendrathen
Firecrest – 1 in Carreg Dhu Gardens.
Humpback Whale – 1 half a mile northeast of the Daymark, St. Martin’s.
Tuesday (26/12)
Spoonbill – 2 on Samson
Common Scoter – 6 near Green Island.
Great Northern Diver – 6 in the Roads.
Whimbrel – 2 on the western side of Peninnis.
Lapwing –1 flew north over Normandy.
Merlin – 1 flew north over Kittydown.
Wednesday (27/12)
Cattle Egret – 2 in the first field south of Longstone Bungalow.
Shoveler – 2 drakes and a female on Porth Hellick Pool.
Mediterranean Gull – 2 adults Porth Cressa.
Black Redstart – 6 on Little Porth.
Whale – An unidentified whale was seen off the Garrison.
Thursday (28/12)
Cattle Egret – 3 in the first field south of Longstone Bungalow.
Greylag Goose – 1 still in the Iris field.
Great Northern Diver – 2 in Porth Cressa.
Black Redstart – 3 on Little Port, including a cracking male (photo)
Humpback Whale – 1 (identified as “Pi”) was seen off the Garrison and another was between St. Ages and Samson at the same time.
Friday (29/12
Mediterranean Gull – 10 Porth Cressa.
Humpback Whale – 2 in the Roads, 1 was very close in.
