Cliff Swallow – The autumn continued its good start with yet another American bird. It was first seen at Little Porth before flying over Buzza Tower and the showing briefly at Porthloo, before settling down late afternoon in the Porth Hellick/Higher Moors area. This is the 7th record for Scilly,

Cory’s Shearwater – 409 in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the return crossing from St. Mary’s to Penzance and 3 lingering off Peninnis Head.
Great Shearwater – 108 in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the return crossing from St. Mary’s to Penzance.
Sooty Shearwater – 9 in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the return crossing rom St. Mary’s to Penzance.
Pomarine Shua – 1 in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the return crossing from St. Mary’s to Penzance.
Grey Phalarope – 1 in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the return crossing from St. Mary’s to Penzance.

Marsh Harrier – 1 flew over Porth Hellick Pool.
Red-backed Shrike – 1 still in the Standing Stones Field, Lower Moors.
Wryneck – 4mon St. Mart’s and 1 on Bryher.
Firecrest – 1 in a hedge by Woolpack Battery.
Cetti’s Warbler – 2 calling at Porth Hellick.
Garden Warbler – 1 at Longstone.
Common Whitethroat – 1 at Longstone.
Common Nightingale – 1 still High Cross Lane north of the airfield.
Pied Flycatcher – 9 on St. Mary’s.
Spotted Flycatcher – 8 on St. Mary’s.
Yellow Wagtail – 1 flew over Longstone Terrace and 3 in the fields north of Longstone Café.
Grey Wagtail – 1in Holy Vale
White Wagtail – 1 at Longstone.
Redpoll – 1 over the airfield.
Crossbill – 1 in the pines on Porth Hellick Down and 1 north of Longstone.

***BLACK AND WHITE WARBLER*** – Another transatlantic visitor, this time on Tresco by the turn off below the Abbey on the track by the turn off to Abbey Gardens.
Red-eyed Vireo – 2 more Americans: 1 in Holy Vale in the elms around the paddock at the northern end and 1 along Pool Road, Tresco.
Cliff Swallow – 1 was seen late morning flying over the airport towards Porth Hellick.

Little Egret – 4 in Tresco Channel.
Mediterranean Gull –11 between Tresco & Bryher and 1 in Porth Cressa Bay.
Wryneck – 1 on the east side of Peninnis and 1 near the tennis courts on Tresco.
Cetti’s Warbler – 1calling at Porth Hellick.
Wood Warbler 1 at Peacehaven, Watermill.
Common Whitethroat – 1 at Longstone.
Ring Ouzel – The first of the autumn was 1 in the BT pmises at Telegraph.
Common Nightingale – 1 still High Cross Lane north of the airfield and 1 still near the campsite on Bryher.
Common Redstart – 1 in the BT premises at Telegraph, 1 Pelistry Farm and 1 in the Dead Pine Walk. Garrison.
Whinchat – 4 on St. Mary’s and 5 on Tresco.
Pied Flycatcher – 4 8n St. Mary’s and 4on Tresco.
Spotted Flycatcher – 2 on St. Mary’s.
Redpoll –1 flew north over Rocky Hill.
Siskin –1 on Tresco.
