Richard’s Pipit – 1 still by the terminal building on the airfield.

Hoopoe – 1 on St. Martin’s.
Wood Warbler –1 on the Garrison by the campsite entrance (photo).

Cattle Egret – 8 north of Great Pool, Tresco and 3 in a field west of Longstone Bungalow.
Little Egret – 3 on the Great Pool.
Great Northern Diver – 1 off Tresco
Shoveler – A pair on the Great Pool, Tresco.
Pintail – A drake pair on the Great Pool, Tresco.
Pochard – 5 pair on the Great Pool, Tresco.
Quail – On St. Agnes, 1was flushed from fields at the end of Barnaby Lane and flew towards Wingletang Down.
Wigeon –A drake on Porth Hellick Pool.
Mediterranean
Raven – 1 heard by the lighthouse on Peninnis.
Firecrest – 1 in the Dump Clump.
Cetti’s Warbler – 2 in the Dump Clump.
Fieldfare – 2 on the Golf Course.
Ring Ouzel – 2 at Browarth, St. Agnes.
Wheatear – 25 on Bryher and about 50 around White Island and the werst end of St. Martin’s,
Black Redstart – 1 Bryher.
Tree Pipit – 1 Rocky Hill, 1 Porth Hellick, 1 Pungies Lane, 1 on the Garrison, 1 Barnaby Lane& 1 Browarth, St. Agnes and 4 Bryher.
Yellow Wagtail – 1 flew over Lower Moors.
White Wagtail – 1 Longstone.
Monday (10/04)
Woodchat Shrike – An unprecedented total of what was probably 4 individuals:1 still in or around the quarry at Deep Point, 1 by the football pitch on the Garrison, 1 on the centre wall on the Golf Course and 1 by the cricket pitch at Old Grimsby, Tresco.
Richard’s Pipit – 1 still by the terminal building on the airfield.
Cattle Egret – 6 circled the Trewince area. Later 6 were seen with in a field at the north end of Sandy Lane.
Mediterranean Gull – 2 in Porth Cressa.
Wryneck – 1 at Blue Carn (photo).
Wood Warbler –1 still on the Garrison by the campsite entrance.
Wigeon –1 Little Porth and 1 Porth Hellick Pool.
Redwing – A late bird was by Newford Duck Ponds.
Wheatear – 21 between old Town and Giant’s Castle.
Black Redstart – 1 at Hell Bay, Bryher and 1 on St. Agnes.
Tree Pipit – 1 over Higher Moors.
White Wagtail –1 Little Porth.
Vagrant Emperor Dragonfly – 1 by the tunnel at Sallyport, 1 by the fire station on St. Martin’s and a probable at Borough Farm, Tresco.
Tuesday (11/04)
Woodchat Shrike – 1 just north of the quarry at Deep Point.
Cattle Egret – 5 on the north of the Great Pool, Tresco.
Wood Warbler –1 still on the Garrison by the campsite entrance.
Common Redstart – The first of the tear was 1 in a hedge near Porth Killier, St. Agnes
Wednesday (12/04)
Woodchat Shrike – 1 still in the quarry at Deep Point.
Snow Bunting – 1 by the airport terminal building (photo). This is a scarce bird on Scilly, especially in Spring.
Great Northern Diver –Porth Cressa.
Scaup – 1 reported off Deep Point.
Ring Ouzel – 1 at Deep Point.
Thursday (13/04)
Tawny Pipit – The bird last seen 4 days ago, was again on the golf course late evening.
Woodchat Shrike – 1 still in Deep Point Quarry and 2 apparently new birds: 1 in a hedge behind St. Martin’s cricket pitch. 1 in the field behind the pines along the path up to Salakee Down from Porth Hellick Beach and 1 in a field opposite Bordeaux Pottery. Today’s new arrivals means there could have been up to 7 individuals on the islands this week,
Hoopoe – 1 behind the reading room on St. Martin’s.
Snow Bunting – 1 still at the airport.
Cattle Egret – 3 in a field below the Airport and 3 at the east end of the Great Pool, Tresco.
Wood Warbler – 1 still on the Garrison.
Pink-footed Goose – 1 flew south over Pool Green, St. Martin’s.
Scaup – A drake on Abbey Pool, Tresco.
Great Northern Diver – 1 in Great Bay, St. Martin’s.
Reed Warbler – The first of the year was 1 singing at Porth Hellick.
Tree Pipit – 1 in the Standing Stones Field, Lower Moors and 1 on the golf course.
Brambling – 2 near Bordeaux Pottery.
Reed Bunting –1 near Abbey Pool, Tresco.
Vagrant Emperor Dragonfly – 6 more of this scarce for Scilly dragonfly were reported: 1 behind the campsite on the Garrison, 1 in the horse paddock at Carn Friars, 2 in the quarry at Deep Point. 1 Middle Town Plantation, St. Martin’s and 1 on Bryher.
Friday (14/04)
Woodchat Shrike – Still 3 on St. Mary’s: 1 in Deep Point Quarry, 1 on a fence by the eastern runway on the airfield and 1 in the field opposite Bordeaux Pottery.
Hoopoe – 1 still behind the reading room on St. Martin’s.
Pink-footed Goose – 1 still flying around the east end of St. Martin’s.
Cattle Egret – 2 in the field opposite Bordeaux Pottery, 3 with cattle in a field on Sandy Lane and 3 on Simpson’s Field, Tresco.
Little Egret – 3 Porthloo.
European Storm-petrel – 1 seen on the “Scilly side” from the Scillonian III on the Morning crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s.
Great Northern Diver – 1 between St. Mary’s and Tresco.
Whimbrel – 2 on the golf course.
Reed Warbler – The first of the year was 1 singing at Porth Hellick.
