Common Rosefinch – 1 was still between the 2 quays on Bryher (photo) , with a second bird in the same place late afternoon.
Wryneck – 1 still at Deep Point Quarry, 1 on the coastal path near Giant’s Castle and 1 at Longstone just before dusk.
Nightingale – 1 flushed on the Kittydown trail.
Yellow-browed Warbler – 1 Higher Moors, 1 Lower Moors/Rosehill, 1 in the Parsonage Garden, St. Agnes and 1 just east of Little Arthur Farm, St. Martin’s.
Wigeon – 1 still on Porth Hellick Pool.
Golden Plover – 5 by the coastal path by the airfield east runway lights.
Little Egret – 1 flew north over Pelistry Bay and 2 in Tresco Channel
Mediterranean Gull – c30 in Tresco Channel.
Merlin – 1 flew trough the fields at the back of the school on Tresco.
Kingfisher – 1 Old Town Bay.
Great Spotted Woodpecker – 1 Higher Moors.
Firecrest – 1 in the tall pines beyond the southern gate to Carreg Dhu.
Skylark – 3 at Salakee Farm.
Whitethroat – 1 at Salakee Farm.
Whinchat – 2 at Salakee Farm, 1 on the municipal dump, 1 in the Standing Stones Field, Lower Moors and 2 near the campsite on Bryher.
Common Redstart – 1 Stinky Porth, Bryher.
Pied Flycatcher – 1 still at Newford Duck Pond, 1 at Rosehill and 2 in Holy Vale.
Spotted Flycatcher – 1 on wires at Maypole, 1 near the dump on Bryher and 1 in the Parsonage Garden, St. Agnes.
Thursday (29/09)
Wryneck – 1 still at Deep Point Quarry (photo) and 1 at the recycling centre near the Turks Head pub o St. Agnes.
Red-breasted Flycatcher – The first of the autumn was 1 in the fields above the cricket pitch on St. Martin’s.
Cory’s Shearwater – 1 off Deep Point.
Great Shearwater – 1 in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the afternoon crossing from St. Mary’s to Penzance.
Balearic – 1 in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the afternoon crossing from St. Mary’s to Penzance.
Sabine’s Gull – 3 in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the afternoon crossing from St. Mary’s to Penzance.
Great Skua – 1 in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the afternoon crossing from St. Mary’s to Penzance.
Arctic Skua – 2 in Scilly waters seen from the Scillonian III on the afternoon crossing from St. Mary’s to Penzance.

Pied Flycatcher – 1 on the road between the Police Station & the Garrison Archway and 1 in the fields above the cricket pitch on St. Martin’s.
Skylark – 6 flew north over Porth Wreck.

Olive-backed Pipit – 1heard flying over the dump path towards the allotments.
Wryneck – 1 on rocks between Old Town Bay and Peninnis Head.
Yellow-browed Warbler – 1 Higher Moors on the trail to Holy Vale 100 metres from the road and 1 at Longstone.
Golden Plover – 4 at Giant’s Castle
Whimbrel – 1 on Peninnis.
Jack Snipe – 2 on Porth Hellick Pool
Kingfisher – 1 on Porth Hellick Pool.
Whinchat – 2 seen from the IOSBG hide in Lower Moors and 1 at Rosehill.
Pied Flycatcher – 1 Rosehill Memorial Gardens and 1 still at Newford Duck Pond.
Grey Wagtail – 1 from the IOSBG hide at Lower Moors.
