Tuesday
A Cetti’s Warbler caught at Porth Hellick Ringing Station was a male in complete juvenile plumage. This may be an indication of local breeding. A juvenile Cuckoo was on Porth Hellick Down.
An evening boat trip saw 250+ Manx Shearwater, a Sooty Shearwater and an Arctic Tern all between Annet and Samson.
Wednesday
A Hobby was over Watermill and a Balearic Shearwater was seen from the Scillonian III.
Thursday
The only report was of 3 Common Sandpiper at Deep Point.
Friday
1 Common Sandpiper was still at Deep Point, 4 Common Tern were on Mincarlo, where there were also 20 Puffin, with another 35 on Annet.
Saturday
A Common Sandpiper was at Pelistry, 3 Whimbrel were at Deep Point and a Swift was over Gilbert’s Porth
Sunday
2 Yellow-legged Gull were off Morning Point, a Mediterranean Gull was at Porthloo and a Sandwich Tern was on Taylor’s Island.
All other reports were from Tresco, where there were: 4 Mediterranean Gull on the Great Pool & 1 on Skirt Island, 3 Yellow-legged Gull were also on the Great Pool.
A Whimbrel was off Carn Near, 8 Greenshank & 2 Redshank were on the Great Pool, a Swift was over the pool and a Hooded Crow was at Old Grimsby.
A Sandwich Tern was off Carn Near and a Roseate Tern was on Green Island.
