Thursday
The Lesser Kestrel was still on the headlands around Porth Hellick, a ringtail Hen Harrier was on Gugh and the Snow Bunting was still on Holgate’s Green.
A new bird for the year was a Little Ringed Plover which was briefly at Porth Hellick, where there was also a Sedge Warbler. There was a small fa log House Martin and 2 Sand Martin were at Salakee Down along with 10 Redwing. A Black Redstart was at Blue Carn, a Common Redstart was at Carn Friars and a Tree Pipit was at Telegraph.
17 Great Northern Diver, were between Annet & Samson and a Water Rail was at Porthloo Duck Pond.
On St. Martin’s a very tame tame Water Rail was at St. Lawrence’s Bay, the first Cuckoo of the year was calling at Middle Town, a female Ring Ouzel was on the Plains and in the evening there was fall of 50+ Wheatear also on the Plains.
Friday
The Lesser Kestrel & 10 Redwing were on Porth Hellick Down, where a Tree Pipit & a Yellow Wagtail flew over, another Yellow Wagtail was on the Golf Course briefly.
A Sand Martin was at Old Town, single Black Redstart were at Porth Hellick & Porth Minnick and 2 Common Gull, 2 Ring Ouzel & 5 Wheatear were on the Golf Course. A Common Sandpiper was on Porthloo Beach, a Common Snipe & a Sedge Warbler were at Porthloo duck Pond and a female Brambling was in a garden on High Lanes.
Saturday
The Lesser Kestrel was still on Porth Hellick Down , a Sedge Warbler was trapped and ringed at Porth Hellick, a Whimbrel was on Newford Island and 30+ Great Northern Diver were in the waters around St. Mary’s.
The female Brambling was still in a garden on High Lanes and a Black Restart & a Ring Ouzel were at Carn Morvel on the Golf Course.
A flock of 20 to 30 hirundines over Lower Moors were mainly House Martin with a few Swallow.
300+ Manx Shearwater were of Giant’s Castle, where there were also 200+ Common Dolphin and a Minke Whale.
