Tuesday
A Great Northern Diver was in Town Bay, the Pink-footed Goose was still on the Big Pool, St. Agnes an adult Common Gull was at Little Porth and a first winter bird was at Periglis, St. Agnes. A Firecrest was at Sallyport.
Wednesday
A very acceptable Christmas present came in the form of an Olive-backed Pipit found in a field near Longstone.
2 Spoonbill were on Green Island, Samson, the Pink-footed Goose was still on the Big Pool, St. Agnes, 10 Common Scoter were in Pentle Bay, Tresco, aMerlin was on St. Agnes and a female was at Longstone.
Thursday
The Olive-backed Pipit was still in the field and pines between Longstone and Carreg Dhu.
A Great Northern Diver was off Innisidgen, the Pink-footed Goose was still on the Big Pool, St. Agnes, the 2 Chough were at Giant’s Castle, a Firecrest was at Longstone and a Black Redstart was in a garden on High Lanes.
Friday
2 Great Northern Diver were off the Arthurs, Eastern Isles and a near summer-plumaged bird was at Porthloo.
The Pink-footed Goose was still on the Big Pool, St. Agnes, where there were also a Shelduck and 2 Common Snipe. 4 more Common Snipe were on Porth Hellick Pool, a Merlin was sat in a tree at Nowhere, Old Town and a Mediterranean Gull was at Pelistry. A Fieldfare was at Parting Carn and about 50 Redwing were in fields between Lower & Higher Moors
Saturday
On St. Agnes, the Pink-footed Goose was still on the Bog Pool, St. Agnes and another was on Tresco, between the church and the school.
Also on St. Agnes a Great Northern Diver was off Browarth, 5 Shelduck were on the Big Pool/Periglis, a Merlin was on Wingletang, and a Black Redstart was at Periglis.
On St. Mary’s A Merlin was at Gilbert’s Porth, an adult Common Gull was at Watermill Cove and single Black Redstart were at Porthloo and Porth Mellon.
