Monday 11th – The Tufted Duck was still on Porth Hellick Pool, 4 Little Egret were at Porthloo, and a Common Gull & 2 Yellow-legged Gulls were at Morning Point. A Skylark was at Trenoweth, there were 2 late Swallow at the Riding Stables, a Siberian Chiffchaff & 2 Yellow-browed Warbler were at Newford Duck Pond and Yellow-browed Warbler were also seen from the main track at Porth Hellick & on the Loop Trail. 2 Firecrest were at Porth Hellick Loop & 1 was in the Campsite Garden on the Garrison. A Mistle Thrush was at the Riding Stables, 3 Black Redstart were at Porthloo & 1 was on Old Town Beach and a Siskin was at Trenoweth.
Tuesday 12th – A probable Hume’s Leaf Warbler was seen at Newford Duck Pond, if confirmed this will only the third record for Scilly and the first since 2002. The Dusky Warbler was seen again on Porth Hellick Loop Trail.
Despite the poor weather Swallow continue to linger with 2 at Holy Vale & 1 at Porthcressa. A Siberian Chiffchaff & a Yellow-browed Warbler were at Newford Duck and another Yellow-browed Warbler was still at Porth Hellick Loop. A Firecrest was in bushes near Higher Moors Pumping Station, 3 Black Redstart were at Little Porth & 3 were at Porthloo and 2 Siskin were in Buzza Quarry.
