Sundays Birds were: Pied Flycatchers were reported from the Garrison, Porthcressa, A juv Yellow-legged Gull flew over Pelistry and 5 Whimbrel, 2 Wheatear and a Willow Warbler were between Pelistry and Mount Todden. Four Sanderling were on Old Town beach and 2 Dunlin were at Porth Hellick. Three Whimbrel, 2 Pied Flycatchers, a Spotted Flycatcher and 4 White Wagtails were on Gugh and a Common Whitethroat was on Bryher. Spotted and Pied Flycatchers were on St Agnes. Three White Wagtails were on Porthloo beach with 3 Sanderling. Nine Med Gulls were on Merrick Island and 100+ Sanderling were seen on St Martin’s. Over 30 Wheatears were on the airfield and Kingfisher, Spotted Flycatcher, Whitethroats and 10 Greenshank were at Porth Hellick. A very showy Lapland Bunting was located late evening at Peninnis.
Mondays Birds were: A Kingfisher was at Newford DP and two Black-tailed Godwits flew past Peninnis. A Nightinglae was found at Peninnis and a Long-tailed Skua, Bonxie, 1200 Manx and 2 Sooty Shearwaters were seen offshore there. An Arctic Skua was in The Roads. Birds on Tresco were: Pied Flycatcher, Kingfisher, Wigeon, Shoveler, Little Egret, Med Gull, Greenshank, Redshank, Sparrowhawk and Kestrel.
Tuesdays Birds were: Two Knot were at Par Beach and a Grey Wagtail was over the Garrison. Common Sandpiper, Green Sandpiper and Kingfisher were all present at Higher Moors. Eleven Greenshank, 2 Kingfishers and 2 Snipe were at Porth Hellick late evening.
