Monday’s birds were:
St. Mary’s – 2 Greenshanks, 2 Lapwings and a Green Sandpiper were at Porth Hellick Pool.
Tresco – A Little Egret, 7 Grey Herons, a Green Sandpiper, a Black-tailed Godwit, 4 Common Swifts, a Black Redstart and 2 Emperor Dragonflies.
Bryher – A Mediterranean Gull.
Tuesday’s birds were:
St. Mary’s – 3 Greenshanks, 2 Lapwings a Common Sandpiper and a Green Sandpiper were at Porth Hellick Pool. A first-summer Mediterranean Gull was at Morning Point and the Merlin (which is unusually summering on the islands) was seen on Buzza Tower.
Tresco – A Little Egret, a Pintail, a Common Sandpiper, a Black-tailed Godwit, first-summer Common & Mediterranean Gulls and the Merlin.
Wednesday’s birds were:
St. Mary’s – The 2 Lapwings were still at Porth Hellick Pool and 2 Mediterranean Gulls were at Porthloo.
Thursday’s birds were:
Inter-island waters – A Mediterranean Gull was in smith Sound.
At sea – Seen from the evening short-range pelagic trip were: 1200+ Manx Shearwaters, 4 Sooty Shearwaters, a Wilson’s Storm-petrel and a first-summer Long-tailed Skua.
