Friday’s birds were:
St. Mary’s – 6 Greenshanks, a Common Sandpiper and a Kingfisher were on Porth Hellick Pool. 51 Cory’s Shearwaters flew past Deep Pont in the evening.
Tresco – A drake Tufted Duck, a Common Swift and a White Wagtail.
Inter-island waters – An adult Mediterranean Gull and 10 Sandwich Terns were in Tresco Channel.
At sea – A Great Shearwater and a Cory’s Shearwater were seen from the Scillonian III on the evening crossing from St. Mary’s to Penzance.
Saturday’s birds were :
St. Mary’s – A juvenile Yellow-legged Gull flew past Deep Point.
At sea – 5 Great Shearwaters, 47 Cory’s Shearwaters, 7 Sooty shearwaters and 50 European Storm-petrels were seen from the Scillonian III on the evening crossing from St. Mary’s to Penzance.
Sunday’s birds were:
Tresco – A drake Tufted Duck, 4 Redshanks, 5 Greenshanks and a Common Swift.
Monday’s birds were:
Inter-island waters – 6 Mediterranean Gulls were in Tresco Channel.
At sea – Birders on the evening short-range pelagic trip saw 4 Wilson’s Storm-petrels, 40 European Storm-petrels, a Great, a Sooty & 3 Cory’s Shearwaters, 2 Great Skuas, an Arctic Tern and 3 Common Terns. Also 10 Common Dolphins were seen and 3 Blue Sharks were caught, tagged and released.
Wednesday’s birds were:
St. Mary’s – A juvenile Yellow-legged Gull was in Porth Hellick Bay.
