Sora Rail – Still showing well from the Swarovski hide on Tresco.
Red-eyed Vireo – 1 behind the School on St. Martin’s.
Cattle Egret – 2 in the Holy Vale/Riding Stables area.
American Golden Plover – 1 still on the St. Mary’s Airfield.
Buff-bellied Sandpiper – 1 still on the St. Mary’s Airfield.
Little Bunting – 1 at Porthloo boat park and 1 flew over Borough Farm, Tresco.
Melodious Warbler – 1 was in gardens below Garrison House on Sallyport.
Red-breasted Flycatcher – 1 Sandy Lane and 1 St. Agnes.
Common Rosefinch – 1 on Bryher.
Wryneck – 1 below Buzza Tower, 1 Morning Point, 1 on Bryher, and 5 on Gugh.
Red-backed Shrike – 1 on the Garrison.
Firecrest – 12 on St. Mary’s and 1 on Gugh.
Yellow-browed Warbler – 50 to 60 across the islands.
Lapland Bunting – 2 on Bryher and 1 on the Airfield.
Black-necked Grebe – 1 Porthcressa Bay.
Turtle Dove – 1 around Hugh Town Museum.
Short-eared Owl – 1 over the Airfield.
Pale-bellied Brent Geese – 6 Tresco.
Wigeon –22 on Tresco.
Pintail – 3 on the Great Pool, Tresco.
Common Scoter – 1 Porthcressa and 3 off Carn Near, Tresco.
Marsh Harrier – A female on St. Mary’s.
Hobby – 1 High Lanes.
Golden Plover – 1 on St. Mary’s Airfield.
Grey Phalarope – 8 seen from the Scillonian III on the crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s.
Woodcock – The first of the autumn was 1 at Content.
Jack Snipe – Again the first sightings of the autumn were 2 on Porth Hellick Pool, 1 at lower Moors and 1 on the Great Pool, Tresco.
Lapwing – 4 on St. Mary’s
Ruff – 2 on St. Mary’s Airfield.
Black-tailed Godwit – 1 Porth Hellick Pool.
Common Sandpiper – 2 on Tresco and 1 on Bryher.
Great Skua – 2 seen from the Scillonian III crossing form Penzance to St. Mary’s .
Mediterranean Gull – 5 on the Great Pool.
Hooded Crow – 1 Bryher.
Garden Warbler – 1 trapped & ringed on St. Mary’s and 1 on Gugh.
Lesser Whitethroat – 1 on St. Martin’s and 1 on Gugh.
Common Whitethroat – 1 on St. Martin’s.
Ring Ouzel – 3 on Bryher, 1 on St. Martin’s and 1 on Gugh.
Fieldfare – The first of the autumn was 1 at Higher Moors.
Mistle Thrush – 1 Porth Hellick, 1 Tresco, 1 Bryher and 1 Gugh.
Redwing– 3 on the St. Mary’s, 4 on Bryher and 2 on Tresco.
Spotted Flycatcher – 5 on St. Mary’s.
Pied Flycatcher – 4 on St. Mary’s and 2 on Tresco.
Black Redstart – 1 Little Porth and 1 on the Garrison.
Common Redstart – 5 on St. Mary’s, 7 on St. Agnes, 1 Gugh, 1 Bryher and 1 on Tresco.
Lesser Redpoll – 1 between Carreg Dhu Gardens and Old Town.
Siskin – 2 on the Garrison.
