Mondays Birds were:
St Mary’s – A Green Sandpiper and a Pied Wagtail were on Lower Moors with the imm male Marsh Harrier seen over Lower Moors and Porth Hellick today.
St Agnes – An adult Purple Heron flew over St Agnes towards St Mary’s early this morning.
Tresco – The Iceland Gull was again sleeping on Simpson’s Field.
Annet – At Least 400 Manx Shearwaters were gathering near the island this evening.
At Sea – A Pomarine Skua and a Great Skua were seen from this evening’s pelagic trip along with a small number of Storm Petrels.
Tuesdays Birds were:
Tresco – The Iceland Gull was seen in flight over the island today as were two Hobbys.
St Mary’s – The imm male Marsh Harrier flew over Holy Vale this morning.
Bryher – A Spotted Flycatcher and a Garden Warbler were noted.
Wednesdays Birds were:
Tresco – The Iberian Chiffchaff was singing again on Tresco. The Iceland Gull was still on Simpson’s Field and the Marsh Harrier flew over.
St Mary’s – At least 40 Swifts were over Porth hellick this afternoon and a Spotted Flycatcher was at Rocky Hill.
Thursdays Birds were:
St Mary’s – A Red-rumped Swallow was found over Higher Moors this morning and stayed nearby all day
Tresco – The Iberian Chiffchaff was singing again on Tresco, although it has now moved along the Abbey Drive towards New Grimsby. Late in the afternoon a Honey Buzzard flew over New Grimsby.
Bryher – a male Black Redstart was found on Bryher where two Swifts flew over and the Hooded Crow was still present.
Fridays Birds were:
Roads – A summer plumaged Great Northern Diver was off the Garrison this morning and a Whimbrel was near Tresco
