Monday’s birds were:
St. Mary’s – There was a noticeable start to spring passage, the first Common Redstart of the year was on the Garrison and this year’s first Sedge Warbler was ringed at Porth Hellick along with 5 Blackcaps, 9 Willow Warblers & 8 Chiffchaffs. A juvenile Iceland Gull was on the golf Course and 3 House Martins were at Lower Moors in the evening.
Tresco – 2 Pintails, 2 Tufted Ducks, 3 Pochards, 2 Common Buzzards, a juvenile Iceland Gull and 30+ Sanderlings.
Tuesday’s birds were:
St. Mary’s – The Ruff was again on the airfield.
St. Agnes – 2 Swallows, 2 Sand Martins and the Water Pipit.
Wednesday’s birds were:
St. Mary’s – The 2 juvenile Iceland Gulls were on the Golf Course and a White Wagtail & a Black Redstart were at Little Porth.
Thursday’s birds were:
St. Mary’s – The 2 Iceland Gulls were still on the Golf Course and a Swallow & a House Martin were over Porth Hellick Pool.
St. Martin’s – A Golden Plover and 2 Great Northern Divers were offshore.
Inter-island waters – 3 Great Northern Divers were in the Roads,
Friday’s birds were:
St. Mary’s – The 2 Iceland Gulls were still on the Golf Course and a Lesser Redpoll was on a garden feeder in Holy Vale.
St. Agnes – A Firecrest was at Covean.
Sunday’s birds were:
St. Mary’s – A very wet and windy day, the only reports were of an arrival of 15 Willow Warblers and a Yellow Wagtail on the Garrison.
Monday’s birds were:
St. Mary’s – The 2 Iceland Gulls were still on the Golf Course. An almost white Common Redstart was in the Deep Point Pines, it had a bit of red on the throat and was described as “Bizarre yet awesome!”. A White Wagtail was on Hugh Town Quay and a Grasshopper Warbler was at Porth Hellick in the evening.
Bryher – 3 Tree Pipits, a male Common Redstart, a male Pied Flycatcher and a male Ring Ouzel.
