Wednesday’s Birds were:
St. Mary’s – The Iceland Gull was briefly at Porthloo.
Samson – A Spoonbill.
Friday’s birds were:
St. Mary’s – The Yellow-browed Warbler was still in Lower Moors, where the Iceland Gull flew over.
Saturday’s birds were:
Inter-island waters – On a rare calm day Joe Pender and John Higginson went out in Joe’s punt. It proved to be an inspired idea as they found the first Surf Scoter for Scilly since 2004. It was in Crow Sound the channel between St. Mary’s and St. Martin’s. Also seen on the trip were 12 Great Northern Divers around the islands and 8 Grey Plovers & 2 Purple Sandpipers off Tresco.
Sunday’s birds were:
Inter-island waters – The Surf Scoter was still in Crow Sound
