Tuesday’s birds were:

St. Mary’s – 2 Ruff, a Green Sandpiper, 11Greenshanks & a Kingfisher were at Porth Hellick Pool and a Black Redstart was on Porthloo Beach. A Cory’s Shearwater flew past Deep Point.

St. Agnes – A Quail was on Wingletang Down and a Cory’s Shearwater flew past Horse Point.

At sea – A Great Shearwater, 2 Cory’s Shearwaters and 3 European Storm-petrels were seen from the Scillonian III on the morning crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s.

Monday’s birds were:

St. Mary’s – The Western Bonelli’s Warbler was seen again, briefly in pines midway along Sandy Lane. A Wood Sandpiper, a Green Sandpiper, a Ruff, 10 Greenshanks and a Kingfisher were at Porth Hellick Pool. A Curlew Sandpiper was reported from Lower Moors, where there was also a Dunlin.

At sea – A Balearic & 4 Cory’s Shearwaters were seen from the Scillonian III crossing from St. Mary’s to Penzance. The evening pelagic trip 5 miles SE of St. Mary’s produced a Wilson’s Storm-petrel, 40+ European Storm-petrels, a Great & 2 Sooty shearwaters, 2 Great Skuas, a Sabine’s Gull, 4 Blue Sharks and 2 Ocean Sunfish
