Sunday 14th June 2015 Ios Bird Sightings

St. Mary’s – A Purple Heron flew over Porth Hellick Pool in the evening, also there were 6 Common Swifts and a White Wagtail was in Lower Moors.

Tresco – A pair of American Wigeons were on the Great Pool, also on the island were 2 Tufted Ducks, a Sanderling and a Common Buzzard.

Island waters – 50 Common Dolphins were off Peninnis Head and 10 Risso’s Dolphins were between Annet and St. Mary’s
