Monday 2nd to Thursday 5th March 2015 IoS Bird Sightings

Monday’s birds were:

St. Mary’s – The Long-tailed Duck was still in Porthcressa Bay.

Tuesday’s birds were:

St. Mary’s – The Long-tailed Duck was still in Porthcressa Bay and a Black Redstart was at Little Porth.

Tresco – The Black Duck and the Barnacle Goose were still on the Abbey Pool.

Wednesday’s birds were:

St. Mary’s – An adult Ring-billed Gull visited the pool in Lower Moors briefly and there was also a Kingfisher.

Tresco – The Black Duck was still on the Abbey Pool and a Spoonbill was at Appletree Bay before flying towards Samson.

Thursday’s birds were:

St. Mary’s – The adult Ring-billed Gull was touring the island, sighted at Porth Hellick Pool, in Old Town Bay and at Porth Mellon.
