Red-rumped Swallow (K.Webb)

St. Mary’s – A Red-rumped Swallow was found mid-afternoon in the Porth Hellick/ Higher Moors vicinity was seen several times before the last sighting in the evening at Trewince. The Black-Tailed Godwit Tufted Duck were still on Porth Hellick Pool, there was also a Hobby in the area. A blurred photo taken at Normandy by a non-birder turned out to be of a Hawfinch. A Tree Pipit was in the pines at Salakee down.

Tresco – An Iceland Gull, a Short-eared Owl, 2 Common Buzzards and a Yellow Wagtail.

St. Agnes – A Common Whitethroat and a Hawfinch.

Inter-island waters – 10 Great Northern Divers were in The Roads and 70+ Manx Shearwaters were off Annet.
